LOL G's line still refusing to dump the puck in. They've consistently been stopped at the blue line. At least 5 offsides. Flyers have yet to adjust.
- Pixote Andolini

They have not been very good for two periods...giveaways are mounting....Vorecek is having a rough game....but he's not alone....tonight's game is a dud....it happens.....horrid 2nd goal to give up by Emery...but again just are not physical at all tonight and their not skating.....that 4-3 ...then the 5-3 was really a chance to turn it around.....but heck...can't change what's happened...come out in the third and turn this thing around.

the more I see this the more I think the 2nd deflection is off of the front of the net cam. (edit: maybe I'm just grasping. lol)

- FlyerGuy

from that angle it looks that way, but the overhead is clear that the puck doesn't hit the cam. it's under the bar, probably partially over the line and then bangs off the other post. ridiculous. (frank)ing ridiculous.

Nah, you would have seen that through the top of the net. It was just unlucky.

Looks more like Boston to me.

Yep -- that's the best analogy out there.

When they're playing like this...(frank). It's just hard. Doughty's out there 28 minutes, and he's hard as hell to forecheck.

Then you (frank) around and lose your lane for one second, and Voynov will stretch pass you, or skate around you and join the rush.

And they backcheck -- when they're on, every single one of them backchecks. Every single one.

See I just turned the game on, so I didn't see this nor did I know it happened

His lateral movement blows
- PhillaBully

blows. sucks. slow as dirt. give me a (frank)ing break. it doesn't. he doesn't. he's not as good at mason moving laterally, but he's a lot faster than you give him credit for.

The Flyers aren't playing with enough discipline and they're not moving their legs enough. They skated Pittsburgh, Chicago, Dallas & St Louis into the ground. Tonight the execution is off and they're getting to running around too often
- Jsaquella

nope, that's the biggest difference ... they're not moving until it's time to react to what the Kings are doing. Not a good way to play.

Just an observation.

I don't think there is one d-man outside of maybe Coburn, that the kings can't beat in a footrace.

It shows in simple races for the puck continuously, and the Flyers D have to pass it off quickly because they will be caught if they try and skate it up.

The Kings have the ability to skate it up with their D, and its really a huge help.

20 minutes left. Jiblet check time, and they will need more than just the G line. They have a chance, at the very least, have shown us that.

- flyer_nutter

I think its more about positioning. Ive seen Grossmann attempt a few stretch passes. That should never happen. The forwards need to make themselves available quicker.

It's not the speed. It's not the D pairings. It's not Emery. The battles are getting lost all over the rink. The Kings team wide commitment to defense and back checking is too much for the frustrated Flyers.

Simmonds losing it trying to go after Willie Mitchell? Couturier cross-checking Kings playing and getting yelled at by a referee. Flyers have unwound.

- Pixote Andolini

It was a bit of a slew foot on Couts, that's why he went after Doughty...the wrong guy...

That is brutal missing a wide open net like that. Let's hope Lecavalier gets better with age like Jagr. Jagr's season with the Devils blows his season with the Flyers out of the water.

He's their top offensive threat though. Jagr didn't play on the top PP unit with the Flyers.

if the puck goes the other way or theres a dman to clear it or williams isn't there with a poke to flutter it up and in nobody says anything. it looked ugly, sure. i'm not killing him. the team in front of him has been poor at both ends. lost count of the failed clears and turnovers in their own end. he's the only reason this isn't worse.

the late PP was the chance to turn the game around. they blew it. and it ended up in their own net after an extended shift.

they can still win this thing.

Yes can we please not Toronto-isize the goaltending of Emery. Yes. He let in a soft goal. He's not the problem in this game.
