Yup
LA is very good and their goalie hasn't made a mistake tonight
yet

Flyers have come back all year
It feels like it won't happen but you never know with this team

I want them to make it a better game though. I don't want to see them just roll over and die. I'd like to see them get one and make this a game.

Everyone calls the Kings Flyers-West. More like Devils-West.

Not surprising. Zamboni may need to go over the Flyers end of the ice twice.

if they get it to 2 - 1 we might see OT.

depends on how LA plays this 3rd, though.

It's not the speed. It's not the D pairings. It's not Emery. The battles are getting lost all over the rink. The Kings team wide commitment to defense and back checking is too much for the frustrated Flyers.

Simmonds losing it trying to go after Willie Mitchell? Couturier cross-checking Kings playing and getting yelled at by a referee. Flyers have unwound.

- Pixote Andolini

The Flyers aren't playing with enough discipline and they're not moving their legs enough. They skated Pittsburgh, Chicago, Dallas & St Louis into the ground. Tonight the execution is off and they're getting to running around too often

Kings announcers went to Jims Steaks. They asked Carter and Richards wit wiz or wit out.

Richards "yeah....oh yeah"

They're not being outworked -- the Kings are good, and they're not stupid on the ice.

They take good angles in puck pursuit, and they are big, and they are not soft on the boards.

They're good -- the Flyers are competing. It's just a tougher game tonight.

- AllInForFlyers

I'm not going to say that the Flyers aren't competing. But they don't have their A game tonight. You can get away with that against the Stars, but not LA. The Kings are around the puck more, and outnumbering the Flyers on the puck. That late goal was a killer, because up until that point, the Flyers were still in the game only down 1. The Kings are winning all the battles and races. Flyers need to pick it up in the 3rd.

Hopefully. Quick looks REALLY sharp tonight. Hasn't given up many rebounds and has looked better as the games gone on.

Where the (frank) is nutter. We need you in the other blog.

they've barely tested him. he looks good, but let's not kid ourselves, 99.5 times out of 100 vinny scores that goal. hartnell could have scored as well, but he couldn't find the handle. he's lucky it's 2-0.

the more I see this the more I think the 2nd deflection is off of the front of the net cam. (edit: maybe I'm just grasping. lol)

Yeah. Emery has been very good other than that. This was a game where they needed him to be herculean and not allow a bad goal. Tall order for a backup.

Yeah it's on the soft side. He overplayed it and slid out of the way. However, he made a number of strong saves during that LA onslaught in the 2nd.

A period to pull their heads out of their asses. So many bad passes.

The call on Carter was a good one, imo...either for his hit on Kimmo or for his stick all up in Emery's gut.

Maybe this guy can help Vinny put the puck in the net...

Just an observation.

I don't think there is one d-man outside of maybe Coburn, that the kings can't beat in a footrace.

It shows in simple races for the puck continuously, and the Flyers D have to pass it off quickly because they will be caught if they try and skate it up.

The Kings have the ability to skate it up with their D, and its really a huge help.

20 minutes left. Jiblet check time, and they will need more than just the G line. They have a chance, at the very least, have shown us that.

His rebound control has been very good. G hit the post too, but Quick got a piece of it.

I feel safe saying G leads the league in posts.
