The Leafs are screwed for the year because their back-up goalie has a .908 save %.

Has nothing to do with the team on pace to give up the most shots against in NHL history.

One thing we can all agree on:

If you don't put oregano on a cold hoagie, you need to rethink what you call your "morals".

Nupe. Hoagie sounds so stupid... Its sub. And if anyone say Grinder.. OMG.... Like someone calling Soda... POP.

Its a philly thing... Whateve's...

But there is one thing I will call BS on. Anything called a Philly Cheese steak is BS outside Philly. I cant stand when they have "philly" cheesesteaks on the menu out here. Like if you put onions and green peppers with cheese steak-um and a roll its a philly chesse steak...

- SchennBros

Chances are, if they call it a "Philly Cheese Steak" it's horrible.

But yeah, it's a hoagie. Subs are U-boats

I think Lavi is a perfect fit for that team, and I don't mean it facetiously.

That team seems perfectly constructed for an aggressive, up-on-your-skates kind of gameplan... not the crappy passive defensive zone stance and the constant "just compete harder!" that Carlyle is bringing to the table.

- Tomahawk

Huh...that might work. Huh.

One thing they can't do -- they can't play zone principles. Oh, my gosh. They lose coverage so quickly off the wall...it's amazing.

Again, some of it is youth -- Rielly and Gardiner are still young defensemen. And no one's giving JVR and Kessel and Lupul any Selke votes anytime soon.

It's just tough to watch, because as much as l like offense, it's disturbing when a basic two-man cycle ends up in a point-blank chance from the slot. They gave up a chance last night that should NEVER happen in the NHL.

Up in NYC they use the phrase "steak and cheese" a lot. It usually comes with lettuce and tomato and mayo. Ick.

HA!

Oh, man! Are you serious?

You know what? There is a need! I can't even argue against that -- there is a need on the roster.

Speaking of... I've done the pats/genos thing but much prefer Jim's on south and 4th. Any suggestions for anywhere else good? Will be in town 4/6 -4/8 for yearly phi/buf game.

Carlyle basically instructs them to give up the half-boards in the d-zone... I think he's quoted as saying something like if a goalie can't stop a shot from there, they shouldn't be in the league, lol.

I think that team could be so much better... speed, skill, above-average goaltending... somebody needs to harness it, instead of living in the dream world that a team with those flighty kids are going to morph into the big tough '07 Ducks.

Putting mayo on an eyetralian hoagie is incorrect.

Olive oil and oregano and a dash of vinegar will do just fine, thank you very much.

Hoagie has history, too. In fact, it predates submarines, which is why Hoagie is better than the Johnny Come Lately Sub

HA! True...but if you look at what's out there, if you think you can fix Sanchez...he's the most experienced guy out there who does have some ability to come in and play.

I like Nick Foles, and doubt he's a fluke. But if he gets hurt...Matt Barkley isn't all you can have on the roster.

Watching the Leafs the other night, Gardiner has made some strides defensively. He's using his skating ability well against rushes. His offense has also been strong since the olympic break.

Jims is good, there's a place on Oregon Ave near Broad thats good but Im drawing a blank on the name though pretty much any sandwich shop in south Philly is likely to have good cheesesteaks
