If it is that's another reason not to resign him. That's two since coming back and how many before? - LJF
The way things are shaping up, it may be in Downie's best interest to take a 1 year deal with a team of his choice in order to build his stock back up.
I'm not even sure a team is going to offer more than a 1 year deal anyway. |

If Downie is out, do they recall McGinn skate him on the fourth line and move Raffl up? I'd like to see McGinn on the fourth line to see how he plays. Don't get why people think he can't play fourth line. - LJF
Should be interesting. Raffl is the perfect fit for the third line, but his promotion will leave the 4th line VERY weak again no matter who they call up.
Could really use a guy like Laughton |

They can recall him as soon as Oshawa's season is over. |

That contract number for Raffl is funny.
In my head, I can see Holmgren calling Raffl into his office, the young European on his first time in America.
"Michael? Have a seat."
"Hi, Mr. Holmgren. Sir. Is something wrong?"
"Not at all. Just have something for you to sign. It's your next contract."
"Um, er...what? I'm sorry? Should I have my agent here?"
(Homer gives him the Stone Face)
"No."
"Um, er...how much am I making?"
(Homer gives him the Stone Face)
"However much I say you are."
"Um, er...so. Where did you say I should sign?"

I don't think it's people that think that he can't play on the 4th line. It seems like the Flyers don't think he is a good fit there. |

Can he play in the regular season without having his ELC started?
I think its a moot point as Oshawa will probably be playing for a while. I would be surprised if they don't reach the OHL finals. The East is pretty weak and is theres for the taking. |

I think it went more like
Homer: How much do you want?
Raffl's agent: I think $1M AAV for 2 years is fair.
Homer: Thats nonsense. I won't pay less then $1.1M! |

Yeah, he gets the same 9 games this year as anyone on an ELC |

Anyone heard of Ryan Lambert from Puck Daddy before? He posted this two months ago.

to summarize: steve mason is terrible and so is his contract and there's never going to be a point at which i was wrong about either fact. |

That's more like what I was trying to say, but it didn't come out that way. I'd like to see what he can do on the fourth line. |

They absolutely count.
The Rangers burnt a year off of Kris Krieder's ELC when they used him for 19 playoff games one year. |

First mistake I can recall him making since he's been here. I guess he really is a mediocre defenseman. |
