Be nice to see Morin have a good effective game though. Sounds like the kid has taken his demotions like a professional with a good attitude. Gotta root for a kid like that. |

They had to peel him off the floor of the Wolves' locker room to finally get him to leave. |

?? No Cup chances without Bickell? Has to be the first time anyone has heard that.
- TheTrob
In each of the last three seasons Bickell has scored precisely two few points in the playoffs as Kane in 6-7 fewer minutes a game. He mashes people, and he wears down defenses and parks his butt in front of the opposing goal as well as Buff did.
In the playoffs, he literally is in the catagory of Looch, Holmstrom and Hartnell. When points are hart to come by and everyone's being physical, his contribution is hard to replace. |

So you'd rather stick to Pirri and music? I got no beef with him playing in Detroit - he got traded there, right? |

He was traded but that isn't my point. He played longer for the Wings than Hawks. And music is fine by me. Pirri? Who is he? |

Perhaps his consent could be bought with some classic rock references. |

His play in the playoffs in why he got paid. He has been consistently effective in the playoffs. The Islanders had a couple of guys who played ok in the regular season but come playoff time were able to really elevate their game. Gillies and Nystrom come to mind. |

I'll agree that Bickell has played very well in playoffs the last 3 years. Last year especially, but he played well in '11 and '12 also. The playoff style game seems to suit him better, although the enigma is why he can't/doesn't play that way all season.
All that being said, I would still not put him in the top 6 players the Hawks have to have to be successful in the playoffs. Kane, Sharp, Crawford and maybe even Saad would be bigger losses than Bickell. |
