It seems when leddy gets paired with seabrook he is more prone to rush the puck up ice
Leddy still I think has issues getting the puck in the corner when there is an opposing player bearing down on him. He still bails too much for my liking

Keith controlling the puck in the corner with pressure on him is the most amazing part of his game to me. How he avoids hits and maintains control of the puck is amazing

This season is seems like every one playing with Seabs is going for a free skate. Guy is hung out to dry more than laundry for a family of 10.

Savy is a big Leddy fan and I wrote a bit about him...Was more to him than you.

Most don't give him much credit...Shooting at 6.5% is vg and has the most PP goals.

Not a 60 min. effort but good enough to outlast Canes 3-2. Leddy and TT facts-On The Blackhawks:Fox Chicago:http://bit.ly/1lZvuA0

Leddy's come a long way and his talent and potential make him a keeper IMO....but like others here, i've been marveled at his rushes that lead to NADA much of the time. However, the vision and touch on the dish to 'Steeger the other night is hopefully a sign that Nick can do more than skate the puck into the o'zone.

Hi Al, yep I did see your bit on Leddy before you posted your note. As you've said many times before, there would be lots of interest if Leddy was offered. Guys with that kind of ability don't come along every day.

We've got some great D men on our club but Leddy is the only guy that can consistently skate it out like that.

I've been a Leddy supporter since I caught his 1st NHL game in person. I've been around the game nearly 50 yrs and have a pretty good eye. As 6628 has commented, Leddy's a rare bird -- not many guys have been taught to skate like him and it's why you rarely see him on his rear. Great balance and IMO the best lateral mobility of anyone on the Chicago roster.

Want to see him shoot more -- he's not Lidstrom-like yet but does have a quick release and a vg shot -- I think the staff is really pushing him and hopefully he continues to keep doing the things he does best. In the end, a solid performing Leddy can only help the Hawks heading into the playoffs.

Seems to me a better % stat would be (goals) / (SOG + missed + blocked).

This seems to be where Keith is such a shooting disaster (perhaps Sharp, too) n

Would they ever consider using leddy at forward on the penalty kill?
With his speed that could work out well I think?

Isn't quickness and quick start, stops, and redirections more important than the kind of straight-ahead speed Leddy had be more important on the PK?

There is also the whole willingness to block shots thing that Leddy hasn't exactly learned or shown a desire to do.

Comparing him to other dmen on the Hawks for the most part I have no interest in doing....One thing that is often dismissed here is age.

Leddy is 22 and when Keith was 22 he had a lot of the same flaws...At 30 a different case.

At my age, if I take a nap on Sunday morning, I set my alarm for Monday just in case.

Eli, Kuc says Shea and Nightingale suspended for 8 and 6 games.

Yep. Which means I got to watch Wade Brookbank on the blueline tonight.

Briesbois got his jockstrap turned inside out by Cody (frank)ing Beach!!!

LaBarbera kept them in the game tonight and the Hogs were able to pull out a shootout win. Babs might miss some time. Looks like he tweaked his groin in the shootout.

I haven't had that happen in quite a while, but I used to do that after I'd go out and repossess cars on a 48 hour straight run...

Happened once to me. Started drinking on a Saturday night. Called in sick on Monday. Fell asleep sometime Monday. Got up to call in sick on Tuesday and finally woke up for work on Wed.

It's going to be pretty interesting to see just how old some of you are. Poor Rollpards is just a baby.
