Nice analysis savvy. Always love people looking further in to the numbers that are there. The only thing about Keith's numbers, is he is averaging a much higher P/60 (which takes out the TOI discrepancy). On the PP, 2 5.65 P/60, 7 4.24 P/60, 8 4.55 P/60.

At evens, 2 1.52 P/60, 7 1.24 P/60, 8 1.08 P/60. 5v5, Leddy is still pretty far behind, but I think that's fairly evident watching the games. Keith plays less than a minute more at evens than Seabrook, so it's not really a huge difference. Plus Keith gets more SH, with him and Hammer getting the #1 minutes.

The TOI helps Keith's numbers, and I know you don't like him, but he's the best defenceman on the team, and he deserves/ needs to play those minutes. He's the clear leader by every metric, and I'm sorry, but he was a top pairing defenceman on team Canada, he's the best defenceman in the league, and is going to win his second Norris and pretty much lock up the HOF.

Edit: Also the idiot who writes the committed indian (sorry bows) called Leddy the third best defenceman on the team (he's not), might want to give that blog a check too

Might to read Al's shots today..

Leddy by far the highest shooting % for dmen and has over 100 shots...

Not a 60 min. effort but good enough to outlast Canes 3-2. Leddy and TT facts-On The Blackhawks:Fox Chicago:http://bit.ly/1lZvuA0

Insane but then there isn't anyone forcing you to buy it. The beauty of it is Wirtz owns the liquor too.
- Elbows15

Yep, i read that article Sage posted on that topic. Wirtz certainly seems to be an intelligent businessman and every Hawks fan I'm sure is grateful thAt he seems to have a vested interest in winning. Anything's better than some of his deceased ancestors.

NHL does a lot of things right that other leagues don't do: at tonite's Toronto -Montreal games, one of the refs is working his 1000th game - they rolled out the carpet, had his family there, league gave him some kind of plaque, autographed sticks - two minutes, but just nice for him and his family.

I won't spoil this by saying that the big putz Steven Walkum was the league representative - no, I won't spoil the moment.

CC puts up that line and he's filleted on here. For Miller, it's just an off game because he's "elite."
- NewToHockey

CC or Raanta should get filet'd if they put that line up...they play on a puck possession heavy team with 2 excellent shutdown d pairs....

Again, while unlikely, I'd love to see Halak do better in the playoffs than Miller and make that whole trade look bad.

This was probably shared earlier in this thread but I didn't see it.

Rockford's Bobby Shea crawls over concrete to attack Wolves Ty Rattie near locker rooms. http://sports.yahoo.com/b...ction-172600362--nhl.html

That play was started with a perfect pass from Seabrook right on Leddy's tape in stride. It was a thing of beauty. Leddy needs to keep his head up too. Its a common mistake for younger players. Guys are coming and filling lanes. If he has no play he needs to learn to just put it in the corner.
- Elbows15

It seems when leddy gets paired with seabrook he is more prone to rush the puck up ice
Leddy still I think has issues getting the puck in the corner when there is an opposing player bearing down on him. He still bails too much for my liking

Keith controlling the puck in the corner with pressure on him is the most amazing part of his game to me. How he avoids hits and maintains control of the puck is amazing

No worries 'Bows...this Mtl/Tor game is crazy...Bolland interviewed by HNIC during 1st intermission...said trainers helped him overcome long recovery. Tendons are a beeyotch to get right.

Ended up in jail with my equipment on for going after a guy in the hallway to the lockers. He tried to kick me on the ice with his skate and just missed connecting with my face and I lost control

Savy is a big Leddy fan and I wrote a bit about him...Was more to him than you.

Most don't give him much credit...Shooting at 6.5% is vg and has the most PP goals.
