How about a Cooperall segue

That might help. There was one section that was going to be a stretch of faith.

Prolly night right away...there's usually a day or three lag on junior vids....but check @hockeyfights.com for the latest adds

EDIT: HF.COM has added two tilts from the O, which began its playoffs tonight....so you never know.

I'll check on Sunday. Saw them play against each other couple weeks ago and it got quite chippy. Game 4 and possibly beyond will be fun.

Sounds like Van showed up in G1. Could be a long series maybe ?

Here's my parting shot for the night . . . I'll check in tomorrow morning for the "late results" (discuss amongst yourselves).

1. I never want to see Duncan Keith on the 1st unit PP ever again. He is phucking useless/clueless when it comes to being able to get shots through and what to do with the puck at the point. He is definitely a solid D man but phuck, Q needs to sit that phucker down during the PP.

2. Seabrook and Leddy are your point men.

3. Zus needs to sit. Compared to the life/legs Regin has brought to the ice, Zus is looking like Brunette to me.

4. Rundblad looked better tonight. Definitely has the ability to cover that 7th D man slot.

That's it for me boys. Good win -- Crawford with a very solid game.

- savvyone-1

Not sure if anyone caught this tonight but I laughed my ass off. When Carolina was on the PP, the puck came to Keith in the slot in front of Crawford. He cleared the puck by slapping the puck down the ice right on the Carolina net. WTF???????

I can see it now........ Ok guys, the new set up for the Hawk PP is Sharp, Toews, Kane, and Shaw enter the zone. Keith stays in the Hawk zone right in front of Crawford. Point shots now come from the Hawk d-zone.

Sounds a bit drastic, but if that's what is required to get a Keith shot on net...

The Blues are going to finish with 111 points .

5 more wins for them.

Can the Hawks get to 112 points ? I think that would be asking a lot especially with the injuries. The 2/3 match up with the AVs is a foregone conclusion. Home Ice won't matter that much .

The Hawks should concentrate on gaining a full roster for the playoffs. Even out the ice time , reduce Toews and Keith's time a bit . Get Morin TT Versteeg all the 3-4 liners as much ice time as possible.

I'd split Crow and Raanta down the stretch too. Don't want crow exhausted like hew as going into the Phoenix series.

Not a mathematician or a capologist....but how much do y'all think the increase is related to the cap reality next year ?

Have they finally come to a decision on that? A few weeks ago there was talk about a weak Canadian dollar and the $71.1 million number being closer to $68 million.

From Tracey Myers this morning...

As far as Teravainen’s contract – if he plays in 10 games, the first year of his contract is “burned” -- the Blackhawks aren’t worried about it.

Have not seen a resolution - I guess officially it's still $71MM.

If they didn't figure in the drop in the Canadian dollar, they're dumber than we think they are.

But then again....

Shout out to Phil and Elbows, saw your replies to my last past of the evening.

OK, I'm not Rollie, but did this bit of stats investigation this am

Keith - overall 5G, 50A, 55 points total
PP 3G, 17A, 20 points total
5 on 5 2G, 33A, 35 points total

Seabrook - overall 6G, 32A 38 points total
PP 3G, 6A 9 points total
5 on 5 3G, 26A 29 points total

Leddy - overall 7G, 22A 29 points total
PP 4G, 6A 10 points total
5 on 5 3G, 16A 19 points total

IMO, the disparity of Keith's #'s are due to the incredible amount of TOI he gets on the PP compared to Leddy and Seabrook. Yet in spite of their limited TOI on PP, Seabrook and Leddy are clearly making the most of their chances.

Also, if anyone is clearly a leader it is Seabrook. Just look at his 5 on 5 #'s -- and almost every night he does not get the TOI that Keith does.

OK, talk amongst yourselves.

Morning Eli.

Of course! Would love to dig a bit deeper into the stats but from that cursory look, really nice production from Seabs and Leddy from their minutes.

Hello, Paulie. I thought the undermanned team last night played an effective and pretty tight game. Felt like they could have had several more goals; good effort by their goalie (who I think is underrated).
