I don't want anything to do with the last four names. Greiss would be solid, but he's a bit young. pretty slim pickings with UFA goalies.
- wilsonecho91

They're all pretty solid back-ups, if Mason can start 55-60 games and be solid. Greiss is 28 already. I was surprised at that.

Did you know...

Brian Billick was on the Gong Show as a contestant?

They flipped Gose for Brett Wallace who is next to useless.
- PhillySportsGuy

Yeah, but that bad trade isn't part of the Phillies deal

I do as well.

Like I said, they have a puncher's chance to be around .500. Meaning if they get some luck and a few breaks, they could be in the wild card race until September.

My gut though...my gut says this team could be a 100 loss team just as easily as an 81 win team.

It just makes me so depressed. At least the Marlins can say "We're building towards something."

Well, if the bottom does fall out, Amaro will be gone and then we can start building

I hope. It could be the management pushing him into this chaos though. Thats my worst fear.

I now want them to do that idea someone posted earlier about acquiring the #1 pick.

who will the Flyers back up be next year?
who do you want it to be?

- wilsonecho91

They're probably going to go with some discount veteran, a la Brian Boucher.

But I'd really prefer them to pick somebody more in Mason's age group, who is good enough to push him for playing time. Devan Dubnyk might be a worthy reclamation, Chad Johnson from Boston has a history of being solid, Magnus Hellberg from Nashville, or peruse many of the interesting options over in the SHL/Liiga for the next Niemi/Fasth/Lack.

Heeter needs a couple of more pro seasons before they should be bringing him up, IMO.

This is the only thing I could find as a description. It was in 1980, so the last season.

According to him, Billick, clad in a furry, thumb-less monkey
suit began to wave his arms in the air while screaming "Waa
wooo! Monkey, monkey, monkey! Waa wooo! Monkey, monkey, monkey!"
This continued for what seemed like an eternity, but was only
about twenty-five seconds. Needless to say, he was 'gonged' and
left the stage in shame. Judge Jamie Farr described the scene as
a train wreck you couldn't look away from because there was an
idiot dressed as a monkey screaming in front of it.

Ekblad - Morin will be the league's most dominant pairing in the very near future.

Make the play for Haydn Fleury still will cost something but not all the way to #1

RAJ's best off season in a while. Did nothing to hurt the future of the club. If they make a run so be it, if not(as expected) trade Lee and any piece at the deadline not in the future plans.
