Wanted the Eagles to sign T.J. Ward, (frank)ing Broncos got a solid deal for him, only half a million more in cap hit(not sure about guaranteed money) compared to Malcolm Jenkins.

Billington and Pearcy are pretty good at their jobs. Besides the Duchene draft year getting O'Reilly and Barrie from the 2nd and 3rd rounds, we havent really hit outside the 1st round gold in a while. Still time with some of the guys down on the farm though.

Picking up Holden, Benoit, and Guenin as AHL cast offs for dirt cheap hasnt been bad either, a lot better than I expected going into the season.

Canucks probably have the worst scouting head in all of hockey, Ron Delorme. We have total shiite picks the past few years. Why we can't draft guys who can come in and make an impact in a few years of the draft I don't understand... other teams have guys they drafted in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th rounds who make the team and they can then pawn those guys off for solid pieces cuz they have other guys they picked coming into the system the next year. look at the top teams in the league and they all have better player development and drafting than the Canucks. Maybe it isn't Ron Delorme's fault, but someone has to take the blame for the drafting. maybe he's a smart guy who gets his picks overridden by the GM, but i kind of doubt it. We need to poach guys who can draft from Chicago, Detroit, San Jose, LA, etc...

Why we didn't try to hire Patrick Roy I don't know, even if he would only go to the Avs, the least we could have done is talk to the guy? John Davidson and Jarmo Kekalainen are gonna make the Blue Jackets a contender in a year or two. Already they are challenging for a playoff spot. Why can't we have a couple of guys on board running the team like them? it's nuts how close the team was and were it is now... it's all over the map. we've got good players, but bad management.

Not at all, but it will probably make the retool or rebuild more difficult in the next few years. They will be near impossible to trade if this is really the type of players they have become. And will they become 2nd liners making 7mil per? They are most definitely not the top problem the Nucks face but still not a good one to have unless they rebound in a big way.

I ve always been a fan of Allen that's why I'm excited and he doesn't have to be the dominate go to guys he can just slide and make the group stronger. If he does go thats going to be a scary defensive line. Now if only Kappi could throw the ball nearly as well as he runs.
