Come on fellas. Prock thrives off people moaning and groaning over what he posts. You play right into his hands. Best to just ignore his posts if you feel he is trolling. By all means engage when his posts have substance.

Third, call it trolling, call it whatever you want. Despite finishing ahead of the Sens in the standings last year, many comments were made by Sens fans, some that I've reposted in recent threads, as well as pretty consistent comments up until this last week, regarding an impending slide because its all luck. Some suggesting that the sens would be passing both the habs and leafs after the Olympic break, due to them being bad teams. While admittedly you yourself are much less abrasive in the threads, you made the same predictions. Surely you can understand why you, and the Sens posters here, might get some backlash for that, don't you? I've heard enough, as I said, of any Leafs and Habs success being attributes to luck, and Sens failures due to bad luck. At some point you have to just own up to the two teams just being better. And I think after 120 games, that point is long past.

- prock

So these truthful comments of yours are solely in retaliation to past comments by certain Sens fans?
You enjoy stirring stuff up. Admittedly, this season you've been more dedicated than usual. The weird thing, as I've mentioned before, is that you always tend to disappear when the Sens are playing well.

I'd be willing to wager you'd be posting plenty of Bobby Ryan comments even if no Sens fans had ever posted about luck for the leafs over the past season or so.

You really enjoy trying to get a rise out of people. The funny part is that lots of times you say you're just stating the truth, like it fools anyone. People could pop into the Oilers thread, or Isles,, or this one yes, and state some truths, but it wouldn't make them any less of a troll.

First, I never said anything about shot differentials.

Maybe you wrote some blogs about it. Maybe that comment was misdirected at you, rather than some of the posters here. Because for the last year, maybe year and a half, there were a lot of comments about Ottawa having the best goaltending duo in the league, because of some of those numbers. Surely you can understand what the appearance of it is, when those numbers go the other way its "unfavourable bounces" can't you? However I will concede that it may be unfair to attribute both sets of comments to you.

1) You didn't need Sens fans to tell you we had the best goaltending probably in the league last season..everybody knew it. Anderson was unbelievable and when he went down Lehner and Bishop were almost as good.

-That was last season..this season is a whole different story..both Anderson and Lehner are not playing close to the way they did when they essentially carried this team to the post season last year. They've let in soft goals, haven't bailed us out (and when they make a timely save it's already too late) and the starts have been questionable (playing Anderson back to back games or not playing Lehner the next outing after posting a shutout)

2) Don't think sens fans were suggesting we'd pass the habs and leafs after the Olympic break because they..as you put it "suck"
- A lot of us were optimistic because...well maybe you should look at the leafs schedule for the month of march.
-Now look at the Habs schedule for the month of march.
- Compare it to our schedule and you'll see we have the easiest of games compared to the other 2 teams.

-Add to the fact that the leafs are a 1 line show and they're goalie is really playing out of this world despite being outshot every game (avg 36 shots a game). Some of us don't think it's sustainable but who knows.

-Montreal loses Price after the Olympics...so you can see how a lot of us thought things would turn around for us

-And to top it off after beating Vancouver and seeing our next 2 games (oilers, flames) I was freakin optimistic that those games were in the bag.

-But this is hockey..things don't always go your way..and while we lost those 2 games, everyone around us was winning.

So, what should we call our protest?

yeah, but that describes a LOT of people who come to the Leafs threads occasionally, and by occasionally, I mean, when they lose.

Doesn't make it any more fun, but you guys aren't alone.

IDK I think Eugene is becoming the worst owner in pro sports. The guy is completely delusional and complains that he should sell out every game by spending the minimum amount of money he can.

I know you're only here to troll and not put together anything of actual substance, but there wasn't anyone in the world that thought Craig Anderson's SV% last year was real (I wrote about it exhaustively last season, like here, or here).

And, it's funny you bring up shot differentials. Ottawa's numbers aren't very good this year relative to 2012 or 2013. Prior two years, they were at or above 52%, generally the mark of a playoff team. This year, they're sub-50%, generally the mark of a non-playoff team. I have written about it many times (like here), though I also did note they had a very solid stretch during December/January.

Ottawa's not winning games because they're being out-played more often than not, the goaltending's regressed sharply, and they don't really have anything to fall back on other than one great line and one great pairing. That's about it. There may be some truth that they aren't getting a few bounces right now, but it's not the delineating factor between playoff/not-playoff.

Further, the point of this post was more about a brutal one-month stretch of hockey that sunk Ottawa in the standings far more than two bad recent losses. Nothing else, really.

Again, you're not here to do anything but troll or straw man, and that's fine. But in case anyone else thinks what you're saying is remotely true, this is for them.

- Travis Yost

Yeah, Prock can't understand words, let alone graphs.

Its just asking too much.

Truth is, goaltending sunk us almost as many times this year as it kept us afloat last season. But the players aren't helping the situation either.

We were due for an injury to a key guy, just sucks that it had to be during the most crucial stretch of our season.

Part of the reason Sens fans were confident they could catch and pass the Leafs is that they are a 1 line show? What is Ottawa? I don't recall the Sens having 2 or 3 lines going.
