Sorry if this has already been posted, can't read through all 50+ pages. The question is...

Why does Kesler want out of Vancouver?
To me he has been the heart and soul of that team.

Bad relationship with Torts?

definitely true. i wouldnt go much higher than the proposed sutter/first, third/ despres, dumoulin deal. if that isnt enough, then oh well. look elsewhere.

maybe take another stab at the draft, but even then. if much more is required, then move on.

From a purely Flyers stand point, if the Schenn, Laughton & 1st is the package, it'd be utterly ridiculous to do it.

Brayden Schenn is 22. He's scored 5 fewer goals than Kesler this season, which is the entire point difference. He's just really starting to scratch the surface of his talent. He could be a 30 goal scorer or even become a player similar to Kesler in his prime. Kesler, while still a good player, is 29, had a serious injury in the past year and has a lot of mileage on him.

Schenn alone is a very questionable deal. Add in one of the most dominant players in the OHL and a likely top 20 pick and...well, you see.

To top it off, the Flyers needs are not filled by adding Kesler. They need more mobility and puck moving ability on the blueline. Brayden Schenn, Scott Laughton and that 1st rounder are all key pieces they could use to fill that need.

Speculation that it's a combination of Torts, feeling that the franchise is on the wrong path and anger over the way some vets have been treated.

oh yeah. that deal is laughable from a flyers perspective. which is why i hope shero can see that they arent to be taken too seriously as legitimate competition and allow them to dictate the price. they arent going to seriously offer a package like that. if they do, homer is in trouble.

That is kind of sad.

I know he was loved by most of the fans there.

Hope to reach work to news that they put in a claim for Larsen. Even if they don't get
him, sign of a thoughtful front office

Now I feel like I'm entitled to a lap dance from Natalie Portman. I'm going to need to write a movie.. about a woman doing a lap dance.. not sure what else... but I'm sure she'll sign on for it.

You'd probably have to settle for Elisabeth Berkley!

I don't think Chicago has the Center that Vancouver wants.

Or the cap space to acquire kesler w/o sending ~$4 million back.
