definitely true. i wouldnt go much higher than the proposed sutter/first, third/ despres, dumoulin deal. if that isnt enough, then oh well. look elsewhere.
maybe take another stab at the draft, but even then. if much more is required, then move on.

From a purely Flyers stand point, if the Schenn, Laughton & 1st is the package, it'd be utterly ridiculous to do it.
Brayden Schenn is 22. He's scored 5 fewer goals than Kesler this season, which is the entire point difference. He's just really starting to scratch the surface of his talent. He could be a 30 goal scorer or even become a player similar to Kesler in his prime. Kesler, while still a good player, is 29, had a serious injury in the past year and has a lot of mileage on him.
Schenn alone is a very questionable deal. Add in one of the most dominant players in the OHL and a likely top 20 pick and...well, you see.
To top it off, the Flyers needs are not filled by adding Kesler. They need more mobility and puck moving ability on the blueline. Brayden Schenn, Scott Laughton and that 1st rounder are all key pieces they could use to fill that need.
