All spiders are scary and should be killed on sight.

I understand they're vital to the ecosystem, but any who comes into/near my house sign their own death sentence. Go make a cool web by my shed, or look cool in my bushes, fine. But you invade my house or get in the way of where I may cross paths with you, and you are done. This goes doubly for any who live in my garage, because they try to hide.

Trespassers shall be shot. They read the sign before breaking in. I talk to bugs and apologize to them before I kill them. Roaches I run around spraying bug spray and screaming like a girl. So gross.

Is Simmer the best power forward in the league?! There can't be many better than him. Lucic and Backes I'd prob take over him.

Its debatable cause he is certainly on the ascent

Talent wise--the Flyers blue line is not as bad as people make it seem. (Bear with me for a second--once you stop laughing, this makes sense.)

There is plenty of talent there--but the skill-sets are mismatched.

Coburn played quite well with Grossman last season.
Schenn played quite well with Timonen last season.

Timonen is aging and slowing--he has trouble covering the rush on the outside--which is why he's hooking and holding at rates much higher than a few years back when he could cover that rush better. Schenn has the same problems with speed, so it makes sense the club broke up that line and reunited Timonen with Coburn--which was very good in Coburn's first few seasons. Coburn has wheels and takes some of the pressure off Timonen now. Cleary--solidify the line that is going to play the most minutes.

Problem results, then, that the Flyers have 2 purely offensive dmen (Streit, Meszaros) and 2 purely defensive dmen (Schenn, Grossman) and one undersized, average cover d-man with puck moving capabilities (Gusty).

But this isn't the full problem--neither Schenn nor Grossmann have the speed or savvy to cover the gaps left open when either Streit or Mez join the rush, or there is a failure to clear the zone.

Compounding this is that Meszaros is more skilled than Gusty. Has better offensive vision, plays with more snarl, and has better size. Yet Gusty plays better with Schenn. And the team doesn't bench Grossman because a line of Meszaros and Streit would be down right scarey.

So--yes--the blue line looks like a nightmare, but talentwise--I'm not sure it's that much worse than any "non" elite teams in the league.

The storm was rapidly shifting south. Friday night I was in a 8"-10" zone. Saturday night I was in a 4-6" zone. By Sunday afternoon it was down to 1"-2"

This was per the NWS out of Mt. Holly, not some hair-on-fire, Panicky Pete local television meteorolgist.

My wife once called me while I was in San Diego. I was at a Padres game (I was out there by myself, so figured I'd catch one) and she calls me. She has just seen a spider bigger than her head. She asks what to do. Knowing full well I'll have a heart attack if I come home and come across it, I scared her into killing it, saying, "If you don't kill it, it might crawl into bed with you." Yeah, husband of the year, I know.

She said she emptied an entire can of spray onto the thing, just saying, "I'm sorry," the whole time because it's a horribly painful way to die.

I leave a lot of those around. I ate a pot brownie once and laid in fetal position in my underwear rocking myself back and forth saying 'you won't die' over and over again for 3.hours. Did I mention in front of my wife's siblings?

You make a decent argument and some parts are true, but I just see individuals making mistakes and I want to believe if it were as easy as switching up the defensive pairings to fix the problem I certainly hope they would of done it by now

I think the overall problem is that the team lacks 2-way play. Timonen is the only player on the team who can contribute offensively and defensively. He can be used in any circumstance. There isn't another player on the team that can do that.

I am in total agreement and even though Streit has not been as bad as I thought he would be when we acquired him..we still have to many pieces back there that make poor decisions in there own zone and fail to help the team break out in transition
