Maybe Shero is leaking that to drive the price down, surely somebody on Kesler's list has to be able to pony up something better the PIT's offer.

Maybe Gillis is leaking it up to drive the price up.

Why would he leak a bad offer though?

Based on Kesler's rumored 4 team waive list (Pens, Flyers, Red Wings, Blackhawks), what's everyone's best case scenario for a return?

What's the source of this rumour?

Assets I like that could be available in a Kesler deal:

Pens: Bennett, Pouliot
Flyers: B.Schenn, Couturier, Voracek, Simmonds
Wings: Nyquist, Mantha, Jurco
Hawks: Teravainen

And you can include 1st rounders on those lists as well. I'm assuming guys like Saad, Maata, etc aren't available. Those aren't offers, just players I like(no specific order).

It wouldn't shock me. Gillis was an agent once, and it seems like there's one player per season in Vancouver who goes through the same stages. One really shouldn't have to drive the prices up on Kesler.

Couturier could very much be kesler in a couple years at less cost and younger I think that's who MG should target

By choice, 1-Flyers, 2-Blackhawks, 3-Red Wings, 4-Pens

B. Schenn/Couturier, Laughton & 1st
Saad, Teravainen & a 1st
Nyquist, Mantha & a 1st
Pens = not interested

Hawks laugh and hang up for sure. Couturier I'd take over Schenn if given a choice.

Philly has probably the closest-matching assets to trade. What's up with Minnesota?

Shooting for the moon obviously. Couts has a lot of untapped offence I'm thinking.

Couturier maybe. There is no trade if we dont get a young center I hope. Even if more players have to be involved. Nothing else makes sense other than wait.

So how many Canucks fans are ready to slit their wrists if Gillis takes Shero's deal?

I'd be calling Philly if I were Gillis, probably get the offensive return he needs.

I think we can all agree that the Flyers are the most intriguing team to deal with of those 4. Chicago is the most unrealistic. Pitt is the least enticing. Detroit falls in the middle somewhere.

Ideally I'd prefer Couturier, 1st, good prospect for Kesler, who knows if Philly would even consider though.

I'm instantly a full-time Flyers fan if that happens, at least until Gillis is fired.
