Philadelphia just makes the most sense fit-wise, that is unless Columbus for whatever reason decides that moving Johansen is an option (which I doubt it will). Trading for Kesler would be great for Philadelphia; it gets them a player they've wanted for a while, and it stops Pittsburgh from getting a player that Shero apparently wants badly. What a great day that would be.

If it was a situation where they had to trade Kesler then it might make sense for Pittsburgh to try and drive the price down. As they don't have to move him, it just comes down to two things:

1) They must meet Gillis' asking price
2) They must have the best offer

Leaking bullsh*t offers doesn't bring Gillis' asking price down.
