So why keep Myers during a 5-6 year rebuild where they can maybe make the playoffs in year 4 or 5, and then Myers hits UFA. So a trade for young prospects that grows with Buf and the GM retains rights is a better option for that club.

Now the flyers have a big Dman that isn't retarted like Coburn and start getting the pieces to go deep for a real cup run.

Gillis and Homer making a deal is something that's just bound to happen. According to some reports, Gillis has been talking to a few teams going back to last year about Kesler(preliminary discussions). He's 29 years old, I believe he has another 4 solid years left before he probably declines and becomes more of a third liner instead of a top 6 power forward, two-way player that can score 30.
