If LaFontaine quit because Miller got traded, he's an idiot and doesn't belong in a NHL front office. That reeks of being a self absorbed idiot. Murray made a great trade, got fantastic value for Miller and will be able to flip more pieces and stockpile more assets.

Keeping a 33 year old goalie who brought you that kind of return is just dumb.

Mez is looking good out there recently.

Gaining confidence and taking more chances offensively. His defensive play seems to have improved also.

Call me crazy but I wouldn't be against resigning the guy at a modest cap hit if he continues playing like this and in the post season.

Man, I hear you -- that's an amazing trade for Miller, a guy who's walking on you one second after free agency starts.

LaFontaine...we'll probably never know, but the bottom line is that trade, as well as whatever they might do with Halak and Stewart, along with the pieces they'll get for Moulson and got for Vanek...I would've shut the hell up and taken a ton of credit
