I bet there was also disagreement on the Miller trade and Pegular sided with the GM. Its too much of a coincidence this happened RIGHT after the Miller trade.

It probably got to a point where Lafontaine was like "If you aren't going to allow me to make any major decisions then there is no point in me being here"

I just see Andrew McDonald on this team by the trade deadline. It just seems inevitable.

Highly unlikely. Mason just had 3 weeks off.

Flyers will have to stay out of the penalty box tomorrow.

OV with two PP goals today.

a win is a win, but this team looks like a disaster in it's own end. Every time the Rags were down there it felt like they could score. They still find it hard to play a full 60 minutes. Thankfully the Rags can't score on an open net. Finally Carcillo is a complete wuss. Running his mouth, skates right at Rinaldo and then stands there when Rinaldo challenges him and drops his stick. Really Carcillo man up. Always great to get win, but can't say it makes me feel any better about this team.

Looking at the event summary.

Brayden Schenn won 12 of 14 face offs today.

Not too shabby

can you imagine them without Kimmo and Mez?

those two handled the puck well today I thought

Homer has some work to do in the off season

Stralman is a guy I would consider if the NYRs don't resign him, right handed, plays a decent game.

Schenn Simmonds and Vinnie was the best line today by far

Downie is doing better

Mez looks like he's found his game again

My 3 stars
1. Simmonds - was a beast all day
2. Mason - huge saves early kept them in the game
3. B Schenn - had a very strong game, him and Simmonds work really well together

- BiggE

All 3 were very good. I would go with Mason as the #1 star though. They lose the game if he didn't play as well as he did.

Also helped the Rags missed two or three wide open shots at an empty net.

Hockey Gods were with the Flyers on a few plays. Rangers had two chances that looked like sure goals, and wonder what happened when it didn't go in.

Is Mason going to get his first back to back start as a Flyer tomorrow? I can't recall him doing that before.

Same could be said for the Flyers. Henrik was certainly on his game, that's for sure. I'll be glad when he finally retires.
