solid first

great goaltending
good PK
solid PP even though didn't score I liked it
playing with emotion without taking dumb penalties and stirring the pot (outside the 1st 4min)
good forecheck

need to clean up in own end a bit, better breakout passes and staying in position defensively

Also nice back check by VL on Callahan. He's showing some snarl too.

it's funny how this team will either blow chunks or be sharp as a new knife

Haha I'm watching the MSG feed and man they sound scared about how 'out of control' this game is about to be.

The Rangers aren't good playing from behind. I hope they lose their composure.

For some reason they never could figure out how to give dorny some kind of control over the pause/play function.

Good first period. Mason bailed Hartnell out. Hopefully Hartnell has the stupid out of the way. Flyers played well defensively. Vintage Lecavalier on the goal getting to the net, also good job by Schenn going hard to the net. That line plays a north-south game. Sweet move and speed by Couturier. Read almost made it 3-0. Good chances on the Flyers PP.

Now on to the 2nd period, where hopefully the Flyers remember to play.

One trade I wouldn't mind seeing is Meszaros for Hainsey.

Both UFA dmen. More or less an early try-out for next years team and an opportunity to make an impression with a new team and secure a new deal.

If Carolina isn't going to resign Hainsey, I wouldn't mind bringing in a vet with his intangibles. He certainly would help in the mobility department, as he moves pretty well for a larger dman.

Mez is a bit younger and more dynamic. Still has lots of good hockey left, just doesn't seem to be a fit here long term.

Its a deal that I think makes sense straight up, but I would see how they feel about Downie as well. Give us Malholtra and a draft pick or prospect. We could desperately use his face-off ability. Raffl permanently amongst the top-9 the rest of the way.

If they are going to make trades, it should be something along these lines. Nothing earth-shattering. Just small moves that (hopefully) make the team more competitive.

This drives me crazy, would much rather have Mez vs Grossman who brings pretty much 1 thing and that is slow.
