If Kesler gets traded the Canucks would need a center in return. There is no way Schroeder can be the 2nd line center. No guarantees that Gaunce or Horvat can make the jump next year either. That is why guys like Schenn and Johanson look good right now. - fiveandagame

Dubinsky? Anisimov?
Gaborik just got back.
I haven't really checked, but I thought they were fairly thin up front. - Fosco

Blues fans are running Stewart out of town.
Very little value. - Fosco
One bad season does not define a career. Look at Edler, Burrows, Kesler Daniel. Stewart is the power forward with finish that we are lacking since Bert. He has shown that. Once again we as Canucks fans are overvaluing our players and undervaluing other players. If we go after Legwand or Grabovski in the summer for 2lC santo and Richarson as 3 and 4lc and Gaunce on the wings. we will have speed and skill. it is not a huge drop off. The goals from Kesler will be provided by Stewart. Bonus goals from the UFA 2LC. |

Jenner's a third liner, tops.
But yeah, I just looked, and edited my post.
It's a decent forward group overall. Lots of scrubs having career years.
Johansen is far and away their best offensive player though.
Not sure why you're selling his accomplishments short. |

He was suspect last year too. And even had serious question marks in his better years.
He's just lazy as poop. They want him gone and don't seem to care much about the return from what I've read. |

Lol...what do mean? Do the TO fans think Nonis is surfing the boards looking for ideas and feeling out fan approval? |

Let's put it this way, if the Canucks somehow acquired Ryan Johansen he'd instantly become my new Kesler. And I firmly believe he's untouchable anyways so it ain't happening barring someone offering so etching stupidly good to Columbus. Nuff said |

Two decent third liners?
What makes you think Johansen isn't a large part of their offensive success this season?
And Nucker's already provided stats he's at least competent defensively. |

Not sure either, there's literally nothing I can find in his game that is weak. And yes, he's definitely the staw stirring the drink in Columbus. (frank)ing stud. |

No where did I say Johannson isn't a fine player. But I don't think him or Kesler are or will ever be franchise players |

As I said there is no drink in Columbus. Not every team has a franchise player believe it or not |

That's too much. I remember an arguement on the Oilers.com message board where some tard was convinced that GMs get most of their ideas from message boards. As if us fans are anything but unrealistic, generally, and think we can have our cakes and eat them too. |

I don't think it is terrible.
Kesler for Stewart, Prospect (A level) and a conditional first. To make it better make that first for 2015
Lou for Halak.
We need to shed Salary and retool. This trade will give us a goalie for 3-4 seasons till Lack is comfortable as starter. We get a top 6 winger that scores and top prospect plus a 1st rd pick.
We shed 10+ mil and buy out Booth and that is close to 15 mil to sign Halak and a second line center. Don't forget we have Gaunce and Jensen to make the jump next year and Bo + Shink in 2 years. It makes sense. - Linden_4_Capt
Stewart sucks. Big body, short on talent. Widely perceived as an underachiever and now he's 26 making $4.1m. I'd rather have 2 more years of Kesler and have him then walk for free. As I mentioned before, if your prospect is Schwartz or Tarasenko then you might be onto something. |

Agreed. The Oilers might have one in Hallsy, but he has a ways to go before he proves that I think. |
