here is a hockey trade to consider.
Stl
Lou
Kesler
Van
Halak
Stewart
conditional 1st
prospect
Conditional is if Stl wins SC Canucks gets first. If not it is 2nd.
Stl gets their 2nd line center and a goalie that can win.
Money makes sense for both teams - Linden_4_Capt
Sorry I wouldn't make that trade. Both are down grades for the Canucks it would have to be one heck of a prospect. Otherwise we have downgraded for a the last pick in the 1st round or more likely last pick in the 2nd round.
If you trade an impact centre like Kesler at his age you need to get a boat load back otherwise why bother |

Diaz for Weise and a 7th. - Nucker101
Well, Weise has been a good fourth liner since he arrived in Montreal.
Diaz wasn't playing and wasn't going to be resigned.
I wouln't say it was a bad trade for both teams. |

Oui Oui (frank) does that even mean yes being in Vancouver means we now study Chineese instead of French as our second language. |

Yeah, I liked the deal for us and I'm sure Montreal was happy just getting the bigger player.
I'm not even sure what Burrows' value is around the NHL, but I'm sure he'd love to play in Montreal. |

It would be at an all-time low right now. Don't trade him. |

Burrows is still useful on the def end.... much much better then Hemsky's minus whatever he is .... And odds are it is just a down season where he will recover some of his scoring. - SMP8719
Ferraro was talking about Burrows season and his no goals pre-olympics. Said every time you come back from injury it takes three weeks to start feeling back in the rhythm and start feeling good again. Every time burrows starts playing better this season he gets another injury. He will be better next year assuming he has a healthy off-season. |

I would expect him to be better next year. But I wouldn't risk a player like Gallagher on hope. |

This keeps getting better and better. I'm dying to hear whats next? Let me guess, Mtl should add a sweetener? - Jeropotato
The difference here is that they have been trying to move Hemsky for years. Canucks have not been shopping Burrows. If that trade went down it would be because Montreal wants Burrows not because Edmonton can't get rid of their player. |

Actually, Hemsky's defensive numbers/possesion stats are pretty good. But of course, you already did your research and new that. |

Of course. Vancouver doesn't need to shop their players, because everyone comes to them for their awesome players like Alex Burrows. |

Knew that.....
Edmonton can't wait to get rid of Hemsky. Clearly him and his contract is not a coveted asset otherwise somebody would have traded for him these past few years... |

Who? Ray Ferraro? - Jeropotato
Yeah, it was him and it makes a lot of sense to me. Two separate fairly significant injuries in one season must be hard to deal with. Ray is far from a homer, the guy has been critical of the team and it's players on more than one occasion. |

On his regular afternoon spot on 1040 just before the Olympics. |
