If a Kesler trade does go down, I believe some fans will be shocked at what his value is amongst the other GM's around the league…my feelings are his value is extremely high in the right situation. - LeftCoaster
His injury history would count against him, but otherwise I'd agree that he's a unique sort of player that GMs would covet. |

As I mentioned a few times before, the new managers' teams are getting bumped back behind the pre-existing non-playoff teams because their teams are deceptively low in the standings because their rosters weren't set for most of the year.
Had they been set, they would likely be much farther up in the standings and less deserving of a higher pick.
I've still slotted them in front of the playoff teams, though.
I know it's a bit complicated, but I think it's fair to the teams who have set their lineups all year but are still struggling. - Fosco
I didn't see that memo but find this to be way overly complicated. You're also making a pretty wild assumption that just by glancing at a roster you can predict where a team would actually be in the standings if managed properly.
I traded for a pick that I thought would be high, people gave me sh!t for, and now find out it's actually a lower pick than my own.
Can I ask that we stop making on the fly rule changes from here on out? It's really getting tough to keep track of all the moving parts. |

Crosby's been injured a lot, no I'm not saying he's Crosby but injuries happen. Kesler is very good, although streaky, at being a second line center/winger in the league. |

Keslers value is kinda all over the board .... On one hand he is a number one center on probably 10-15 teams in the league who when motivated plays unreal and is under 30 ....on the other hand he is a often injured 2 line center who is almost 30 and requested a trade .... His value could be quite high in the right situation yet quite low in others |

Different sets of injuries. Kesler seems chronically injured and more to the point it seems based on his style of play. Crosby got a concussion but seems well passed it now and otherwise seems fairly bulletproof.
Malkin might have been a more apt comparison. |

I've posted it on this board well over a dozen times.
It wasn't an on the fly rule change.
It was discussed and decided before you even took over the team.
The only rule changes I've made without putting it to vote is the veto and this one, and this one came about when several of the struggling teams' managers expressed concern about these deceptively low teams getting high picks.
It doesn't benefit me at all, but enough expressed concern, and I think it's totally fair. |

Projecting where a team would have ended up in the rankings under different circumstances is hardly straightforward but if it was voted on then so be it. |

here is a hockey trade to consider.
Stl
Lou
Kesler
Van
Halak
Stewart
conditional 1st
prospect
Conditional is if Stl wins SC Canucks gets first. If not it is 2nd.
Stl gets their 2nd line center and a goalie that can win.
Money makes sense for both teams |
