Three natural centers on the top line? No thanks! Edler a -23 on pace to be over a -30. Solidify? Blame Torts all you want there is something off with him. yes he has been a point producer and pretty solid defensivley over the past couple of years but i cant see giving up the house for a center they dont really need and a dman who has a -23 rating even though its only one season.

Go back the last three years and tell me who has missed more. Face it, Letang is fragile.
- Oneonta Penguin

In the last 6 seasons, there has only been one season (2011-12) where Letang has missed more games than Martin.

Yet somehow Letang consistently gets the "fragile" tag, and Martin gets a pass....

Completely off topic, but the Wild have one of the best Logos in all of sports. That thing is badass.
- did109

Funny you say that because a lot of fans prefer the North Stars name and logo.
I'm with you though.

Dupuis and letang to talk this am...

My guess...

Letang done for season and will have surgery and dupuis retires.. too old and too bad of an injury to come back from...

You are relying way too much on Bennett. Get the dream of Kesler out of your head. Chances are if Kesler comes, Bennett is going, so ...
- Oneonta Penguin

So is your beef with Bennett his injuries or his actual play? If you have a problem with his game we must watch different games.

Letang done for the season is best thing that could happen for pens right now....LTIR gives them some space and not holding out hope that he can return to form after not skating for two plus months.

My beef is he has done little to deserve all the glowing comments that people have posted. It's been so long ago since I remember seeing Beau Bennett play, I can't remember his game. Who knows if he makes it back at all this year?

Van would want back Sutter, Bennett and your 1st. That would be costly....
- riceroni

Sutter, our 1st and a choice of dumollin or despres... Depres should be dressed every game till Martin is back... Good, bad , ok ... Makes no difference ... Give him a shot

I think Gillis is one of the worst GMs in the league; along with Holmgren, Sather, Rutherford, and Snow. He doesn't look in the mirror and blame his shear idiocy for his franchise's failures. He will make a bad trade at the deadline. With who, I have no idea.

But he has 4 career NHL goals... That's only like one less than the offensive stalwart Harry Zolnierczyk.

That is exactly what should happen. I find myself backed in a corner a bit. For some reason, I find myself agreeing with Flyers fans more and more all the sudden.

So it's the injuries? I think there has been some cause for concern with his injury history. However when he plays I have no problems with the player he is. I'm not saying he is a superstar but he will be a very good player as he matures.

I think you def nailed 4 out of 5, but i gotta disagree with Rutherford. No Ray Shero, Holland or Chiraelli but i think he holds his own and has got some nice young pieces to work with.

Actually, Zolnierczyk should be up and playing on the fourth line. I liked what I saw with him. Hell, put him with Sid and Kuni. He has the speed to hang.

In your defense i am from about 1.4 hours east of pittsburgh much closer than philly and as much as despise most penguin fans, i find it refreshing to have intelligent hockey conversation with any fan from any team.

I question Rutherford's drafts all the time. I know you can't blame him entirely, but his farm system sucks; they can't develop talent; he makes some questionable decisions. He got played by Shero badly twice last year.

He's old and that's a bad injury... I just don't think he can do it... it's what's best for the team...

Oh hey look we scuds is back... forgot he was on the team....
