His agent strongly denied it. I think he's willing to go and waive his NTC to go to a contender as long as it's a big market. God I would hate seeing him in another team's jersey - Nucker101
We've been speculating what a trade for him would look like for a while so from a HB perspective it can't be that shocking.
As sacrilegious as many here might see it, I do believe a player has a right to play for the team of his choice. Having to be loyal to the team that drafted you is a crock of sh!t, as if it were done as an act of kindness and not a business decision.
Kesler's put in some excellent years for this organization. For that I am grateful and I've enjoyed watching him play. If he wants to move on I wish him no ill and only the best of luck. |

Definitely not the victim he's being made out to be. Sucks to have 3 trades veto'd, but the Ovechkin trade got remedied, the Spezza one was grand larceny, and this last one... I dunno. I know thunda really wanted Stamkos but it speaks volumes that he won't do the trade again.
Once again, I tip my hat to Nucker for being able the convince other Managers to accept these deals. But the veto option was available to the other managers to express their opinion of the deals; so they exercised it. The same would probably occur in the NHL if it were available to them (probably wouldn't be a bad idea to protect some GM's from themselves). But now that the veto option is gone, so there's no safety net for people and I have no problem with it.
I've said more than I wanted to really say about this issue, but just wanted to get it off my chest as I think it's created way more drama than it should have.
Okay, I'm done now. I've said all I wanted say and I've tried to say it in the most respectful way. Sorry if it pisses anybody off, because I like Nucker and the intrigue that he generates in the pool. |

If you're looking for a laugh. Although, it was equally maddening, and I had to just refrain from commenting on a number of occasions.
Cheers on the trade response
Totally understand your reasoning. |

One thing they forget is Gillis could wait 4 more years to make that trade, as he said to LU you are under contract, shut up and play. He can absolutely wait for the right deal. |

Just what the team needs, another distraction. I hope less is over quickly. If Gillis waits to long, he could price himself out of the market again. |

You guys should go over to the tsn site and look at some trade proposals on their tradecenter page. Here are some nugetts from the first page only.
Three way trade, Callahan & TB 3rd Round, & NYR 4th Round to Vancouver; Kesler to Tampa; St. Louis to NYR. Report this comment!
Eller and Tinordi for Kessler.
Kadri for Kessler anyone
Kessler to Chicago for Pirri and another young player.

Yeah, I wouldn't blame him for not wanting to stick around for a re-tool if the team won't be a contender again for a few years. Just don't screw over MG's trade leverage. |

Any deal that doesn't include a winger with top 6 potential is a bust for me. The left side is severely lacking in talent.

Agreed, but not getting a center in return would be worse.

Gallagher was speculating that a secondary deal could be made to bring in a Centreman. Maybe the ROR for Edler pipe dream could become reality? |

COL would very likely not do that straight up IMO. But I'd be very happy if Gillis could do Edler+ for ROR. Roy said the other day that he won't do much at the TDL though. |
