This is definitely great news if true. Most people will never admit just how much he complicates moving this team forward.

Ive been saying for two years that he's going to want out of town but people have this vision of him in love with this city, team and fans. He already tried to get out early in his career. He's always been a Kesler first kind of personality. The hate from the officials will chill out a bit with him gone as well. This team needs a new face and personality. Less diving selfish female doges.

In the summer I said this would be Kesler's last season as a Canuck.

If they are going to rebuild/retool then I don't think he offers the kind of leadership they would want for a team.

No. If he can trade him by the deadline great. If he can get more value at the draft, which has been suggested by multiple people, then he can hang onto him until then.

This is not the same thing as the Luongo situation. Kesler would be the most sought after player available in the summer. And he has a great contract (apart from the NTC, which may limit a few options).

I dont see why he would fetch more at the draft. Teams will over pay at the deadline for Kesler mistakenly thinking he'll get them over the top in the playoffs. We know teams over pay at the TDL... best time to rip someone off.


All these players wanting out doesnt help MG's position in the trade market unfortunately. Looks like MG cant keep the core together after all. We will one day find out Edler signed with an agreement they's find him a new team as well...
