The three week break could affect a lot of teams - positively or negatively.

Two or three games before the TDL will point a lot of teams in certain directions.

Don't buy into the idea that Bickell will be moved at all. The cap numbers would have to work out perfectly.

This regime has no recent history of dealing anyone off the current roster. The last time it happened, and correct me if I'm wrong, was Wisniewski to the Ducks for Sammi Pahlsson in '09, and that was because he (Wiz) was going to be an RFA and they knew they couldn't keep him.

UFA at the end of this year, have to trade him by next week.

He will probably go to St.Louis and take the money that the Blues are paying the 2 stiffs named Derek Roy and Brendan Morrow.

If the Blues pick up Stastny, I'd say that makes them odds-on favorite in the West.

As for Bicks....hate to see the org pull the plug on him before we could surmise
if last spring's performance was REAL or just a flash in the pan ?

Bicks has been banged up and may be still dealing with residual pain despite what he or the club says.

Hope we get to see him 1 more time in the playoffs for us.

- philco28

Bickell won't be going anywhere unless Bowman can pull some kind of obscene one for one deal for a better player at similar salary.

He's been banged up since the playoffs last year and the knee hurt early in the season didn't help matters.

Looking for him to play better in the last 20 games and be sharp for the playoffs. He's just not the kind of player that serves up 82 top notch regular season performances.

You really think the Av's will trade him within the division? If Q lets that happen he should be fired.

Really don't see them moving him Phil. He has been a pretty good playoff performer. The deal would have to wow the Bowmans. Like someone mentioned earlier, they generally don't move from off the NHL roster.
- Elbows15

Agreed Bows'...i'd be shocked if he was moved this soon in that contract...mainly because as a GM, i'd want to see this guy ONE MORE TIME in the playoffs...and he either shows he's worth that coin on nae.

I meant signing with the Blues in the offseason. I think his dad Peter lives in St. Louis.

Paul is a decent player who has been overpaid his entire career. The old man could really play the game.

That wouldn't make much sense considering the tight race, I agree.

I think everyone will have a different perspective on Bick's contract after this offseason. With the cap going up, some 3rd line player are going to get silly money.

Then again, the Statsny's have a close relationship with Hossa, so maybe this off-season Hoss can recruit him here.

Such as Bolland, who wants more than $5M for five plus years. The market is changing rapidly.

Dreger was saying that Bolland wants as much as 5 million per year from the Leafs to stay in Toronto.

Maybe.

If they are willing to commit to him before re-signing #19 and #88.

Somehow don't think that will happen.
