Sounds like a Kostka replacement. Our new 8th D-man?

Sounds more seasoned than the other d-men in Rockford, so I'm guessing he'd be #8. If they get to #8 for long, there's trouble...

Big tough wing or centers don't grow on trees. I would prefer to move Versteeg or just let him go if it means saving money for Ladd is the end result. Bickel has issues but is worth retaining because when right he is too valuable a piece to move. He is another large forward, yet he is someone you move only if you have already determined that you will find room to keep a Ladd around.

It is kind of silly to spend a lot of time trying to guess what moves may occur. But I vote for Ladd if he is going to be returning for a long term engagement at his old address.

The Jets have a smallish center prospect who looked good in WJC plus Scheiffle is further along now. So I do not see Pirri relocating to the frozen tundra where some do not want to go. In that Morin has a shot that can win a game, I would sort of favor having him available in playoffs over Pirri. Morin might be able to find time but Q just doesn't figure to use Pirri. He will ride his veterans to the end. Morin could find time due to injuries. But even with injuries Q might be reluctant to throw Pirri out there.

Nic Petan...that kid is a great talent. I watched his older brother Alex play in the BCHL for the Coquitlam Express.

That might be a bit of a stretch. Helps that he is now an experienced minor pro but the biggest issue with Connelly has always been his size. Just too small to defend against larger players. The possibility here I bet is that in dire situation Bowman would use Connelly but perhaps a slew of other forwards before Winchester. Then again this could just be a move to help the defenseman weak Icehogs. That physical forward we received for Beach......provides the AHL team with muscle and a descent game so that Winchester can be let go. So there are two ways of looking at the mindset of Bowman regarding the deal. Of course regular Icehog followers may confirm or possibly add to this break down.

As it should be....unless she's hot, then she'll be coming soon to a Wheaties, Chapstick, McDonald's commercial near you.

The big Nascar moment each year for some might be when the race circuit stops in Joliet. Wow it is too dizzying just watching those cars zip around continuously in circles.....but if not a race fan that is a typical response.

Dustin Buff used to speed around town in a race capable car. Might have been a Lamboigini? He was told once to stop driving 85 in residential areas, so he slowed down to 55. I heard Tallon asked him once if he could take his car for a drive. Was it a purple color car?

Red necks, white sox and Blue Ribbon Beer. Cartman had NASCAR pegged perfectly.

Why does money have to be held back? He is in the first year of the contract and for what it's worth the contract it is at a fair market value. If this was his 2nd or 3rd year and he was riddled with injury during that time I could see money being held back as a concern or a need. However like I said, if you have a team going into a rebuild and/or already in one than why not take a player like Bickel who is young, had a strong post season, and his cap hit is not going to kill you......4 million per year in his third year of his contract could be a steal.....and two years from now even if he has been "often injured" the dollar amount won't scare teams away from taking a chance.

Present value today after this season so far Bickell is over paid...And the term left makes him a risk whereby money would have to be held back or a bad contract comes here.
