He has the mobility for today's NHL. Like I said. For a senior D-man to not be over the boards on the first pairing for the PK is a red flag to me. In fact, one game I watched he didn't play the PK at all.

Can't get away with that unless you are PK Subban.

I don't mean to dismiss Johns....But unless he is a true standout in College, considering he is a senior...I wouldn't count on seeing him in Chgo for some time.

That was a QUALITY JOLT Mr. P

But he was deep in his own end. Trouble for him is when he Adam Dunn's those type of hits in the neutral zone.

Agreed. Probably can learn.

.....And not even a bad GM is going to take Bickell with injury concerns without getting money held back and that doesn't work now....Maybe later but not now.

Yeah I agree. I also think if it is a quick exit they might do something big in the summer

Not to dismiss the college game because as we have seen more and more players spend time there, but I feel that staying there for the whole four years really puts them behind the curve as far as development goes. Getting a four year degree from ND is a nice way to hedge your bets though.

Not really. Johns was drafted in his draft year. He just chose a different route.

Yes....But if a player is ready and can come out early and sign a nice bonus they usually do....Can go back over time and finish the credits.

Totally unrealistic scenarios, you would need a whole jar of Bickell's to get Ladd or Hartnell

Yeah for a guy that is a known as a defensive-minded D-man not to play on the pk is pretty bad.

And ended up on his ass too way out of position. Which that time was fine because he had support.

I know for sure one of the D-man was a sophomore.

If you get a chance to watch ND. watch Hinostroza. The guy just seems to be a puck magnet. Not too big but doesn't play small. Has good wheels. good vision, and will get to the dirty areas.

He is the shiny new thing. I almost barfed when Tracey Myers said she is interested in seeing what he brings. Maybe if the team is lucky. Breakfast.

That bothers me a bit too. What is his commitment to furthering his game? Its fine if he doesn't have a passion for it and used it get an education. Can't say I blame him at all. The Hawks are closer to it then I am.

Yeah he is good. The size of the dog in the fight doesn't matter as much as the size of the fight in the dog. I just made that up. Pretty good, right? it is like Ben smith. Just a battler. That nbc sports channel seems to show a lot of N.D. Games on friday

You should write that down. The thing was he stood out to me before I knew it was him.
