Worst show in Vancouver in years. Pratt isn't smart enough to be called an idiot yet. - VANTEL

I wanted Stamkos for next season. Staal and Burrows can improve I didn't want to give up Johnson or Turris but it got the deal done. It wasn't going to get done with just Kane and Karl for Stamkos and Staal. Little lopsided but I wanted Stamkos. Bluechip wasn't going to trade Crosby and I made a big push for him as well. The only 2 players I was gonna give up that much for were those 2. - thundachunk
Should have at least responded about my offer.
I was more than willing to up the ante and was only interested in Karlsson—wouldn't have taken the rest of your young talent. |

Nucker dangled the Stamkos carrot, Thunda bit. I'd have acted irrationally too, but that trades just crazy. |

I just don't recall him having any "personal reasons" this year, or ever really. Unless by "personal reasons" you mean broken ribs, torn rib cartilage, torn rib muscles, or whatever the hell is actually wrong with him. |

Looks like he got the tunnel vision on Stamkos. Understandable, but while Nucker was dangling Stamkos in front of his eyes he was also stealing the wallet out of his back pocket and the watch off his wrist. |

I think when everyone talks about it negatively , you veto it |

I'm not vetoeing it, and I advise others not to.
The trade may be lopsided, but it was negotiated and accepted in good faith.
Can NHL managers/owners veto lopsided trades just because they're lopsided, but otherwise totally adhere to the rules? |

I recall one other time this year he missed practises for personal reasons? Memory is not as good as it used to be though. |

You could say that's a little lopsided
No way is Stamkos and Staal worth all that |

Kesler to Philly for B Schenn, Laughton & a 1st? - LeftCoaster
Throw in Edler and Simmonds/Vorachek
In all seriousness, neither Edler or Kesler will be traded at the TDL. If Gillis is considering moving either one it will be in the offseason, but I still don't think he has the balls to orchestrate a trade of that magnitude or have the balls to ask either to waive their NTC.
Edit - just saw your Edler trade.
Schenn, Laughton, Mantha and 3 1st's. Now that is how you conduct a rebuild. |

Well - one can only hope/pray that Mike Gillis figures out how to be a complete NHL GM before to long. |

Bad form
I didn't like the trade either and was trying to get Karlsson myself, but good on Nucker for negotiating that well—no rules were broken, and there was no collusion involved. |

I understand your point of view, however, there has to be some checks and balances to keep the pool competitive. If it becomes a one man show you'll be losing teams to contraction, including mine. |

How is it a one man show?
Nucker's in 4th place and has gotten that many top players by getting creative with his trades. He's lost a few, as well.
Guys should be allowed to manage their own teams—by vetoing trades just because you don't like them it takes away that ability. |
