I don't think we should get in the habit of vetoing trades because some people may not like it. If a player is secretly injured or something then fine but if both people are clued in and decide to make a trade that suits their needs then it should be allowed.

I think it's the wrong move to make. One player does not reverse this team's fortunes. They need cheaper youth to inject into the lineup.

I myself have the same thinking, I was cool with my deal for Spezza getting vetoed since Vancity didn't understand the rules, but otherwise I never like seeing any 2 owners in the league being told they're not allowed to make a trade they agreed to. Hell, I thought PK'er got screwed but didn't think of voting to veto for a second.

Completely agree (see my post at the top of the page). If the only trades allowed are trades that in everyone's mind are "fair" then we'd have very few trades indeed. Trades shouldn't be made by committee.

I think it was the burrows, Voynov, 3rd and 4th round picks for all the talent that really gives the deal bad optics... There is so much more there that can be done to even out the deal.

Saw your post as well. I'm not gonna make a big deal out of it, it's a free league for fun and I enjoy making trades to keep myself interested. I'll still set my lineups and make waiver adds for the rest of this year and beyond.

I didn't like the trade either and was trying to get Karlsson myself, but good on Nucker for negotiating that well—no rules were broken, and there was no collusion involved.
