No way. Jensen is being showcased . Jensen for E.Kane.
Edler for ROR.
After watching the Olympics, Callahan takes a hometown discount just to play in Canada. 3.5ml/ year. - fiveandagame

Just an observation, but I'm wondering if Kesler and Callahan were twins separated at birth? Quite remarkable how similar they are, not only in the same sort of reckless abandon in the way they play, that they are both 'heart and soul' types of players for their respective teams, have fairly similar statistics (although Kesler has more natural offensive talent), but also in statistics, age, cap hit (Callahan's is a little bit friendlier but not much), peripherals, and of course their tendency to get hurt (but to also play through it).
Anyway, just thought it was interesting, is all |

Definitely a good comparison.
But Kesler's better
And can play both C and W.
Callahan's cap hit next season will likely negate that point in his favour, as well.
I really hope the Canucks steer clear of him, despite the obvious benefits he brings to a team.
On an unrelated note, when are you going to get in on the trade action ?
Or are you comfortable and confident with your roster all the way up there in 3rd place? |

Yes, I agree about Callahan - I think his injury history seems to have gotten worse than Kesler's! Notwithstanding that component, though, I'd still take Kesler, especially given what you've noted - more versatility and more offense. I just thought it was interesting how much of a similar style they play and how close their stats are, including peripherals. Not to mention their ages and even physical stature.
as far as the trade aspect, it seems I may be either over or underthinking things in terms of the the proposals I've received (some of which have been extremely tempting uggg but of course you snooze you lose, I know, I know). That said, I'm reasonably confident with most of my roster - come on, Del Zotto is going to put me over the top for gawd sakes
As I mentioned to Bieksa3, there is just such tremendous chemistry on my squad I don't want to tamper with it , so I'm resorting to the 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' theory. Of course that usually falls under the 'delusional' category lol and could very well end up biting me in the ass, especially as I note there have been some very good moves by a lot of the managers of late (what the @#$@#$ is up with that, feckers?!)
Well, at least there is still a bit of a ways to go and I hope to be more active in the stretch run (psssst, how about Tavares (you know he's going to be out for at least 3 years for Martin Jones? - ok ok, no @#$#@ hate mail lol) |
