Taking a page out of Mike Gillis' playbook. If it wasn't for injuries I/we would be rocking and rolling.

My season also turned around when Edler got hurt!

Nope said Thunder for doing a Houdini at TDL

I figured you were more the "Burke" of the league, because of your appetite for Asian women

That's more of a Nonis trait, surprisingly a trait that's becoming more prevalent with our current GM.

Has Foscp really not tried to trade for him yet?

We've had discussions.

Edler's a bit of a gamble right now, especially now that I have so many other Canucks.

Personally not a chance.. Bieksa's basically the only guy on our back end with balls .. Plus the right handed shot
- MaWLz

That's why we need him, going into the playoffs. He's exactly what we need to make a push. 1st plus a player like T. J. Brennan sounds about right.

It would have to be an overpayment. I don't think that gets it done.

Brennan is our top scoring defenceman on the Marlies. Our first will be around number 20. Bieksa is 32 and may have 4 or so good years left. We have a chance, with the injury problems with Boston and Pittsburgh, to make a move. Both Pittsburgh and Boston have lost a key defenceman for the year. Vancouver will probably not get in and need to retool.

I bet a team like Anaheim would top that offer for sure.

Problem is, they're in the same division as you and trading with them may keep you out of the playoffs longer.

I've inquired a few times about Edler, but to no avail.

That was a pretty wiley move to land both Sedins. If they start producing like they once did it could be very good for you.

I'd be happy to take Kassian off your hands if you don't want so many Canucks in your line up.

This raises his value. Teams would line up for Bieksa. Brennan and a #20 pick in a weak draft wouldn't do it.

Didn't Burke go to Afghanatan one year at TDL?

A number of people have inquired thinking they could get him cheap. He's available at full price or I'd just prefer to keep him.

It doesn't matter if they don't get in.

They don't NEED to trade Bieksa—he's not a UFA.

Bieksa offers a unique mix of toughness and skill that would be coveted by a number of teams at the TDL or in the offseason.

There will probably be better offers, and again, MG is in no rush to deal Bieksa.

A late 1st in a weak draft, and a D prospect who's been traded 3 times and failed to crack a weak NHL roster is not an overpayment.

Canucks would likely prefer a forward prospect, anyway.

He wasn't really available earlier in the year. I've been listening to offers for the past month or so. Haven't received anything that comes close yet. I thought I put him on the trade block awhile ago...

Yeah, I traded some good young players to get Henrik, but I think I got good value.

I'm fairly confident they'll bounce back to 70+ point players once the Canucks get some offensive support.

They looked good early in the season, but were clearly over used out of necessity, and it's taken a toll.

I'm pretty set on seeing how Kassian finishes the season. I overpaid for him a bit, so it would have to be one for me to let him go.
