It really doesn't make any sense to try and push for a playoffs spot, they may still get one though, our system is weak. They can't afford to keep going in the direction they've been going in the past few years, chasing a Cup.

That's probably the general mode amongst every GM in the league. This may shape up to be the lamest TDL in years. Can't wait to see how Duthie drags it out over a full day's worth of coverage.

You almost never see hockey trades like Hodgson-Kassian done at the TDL. It's almost always a pick and/or prospect for rental. I still expect some decent players moved: Vanek, Moulson, Miller, Cammalleri, Gagner/Hemsky, Callahan(?), Legwand, etc.
