I'm all for it if Gillis can pull it off. Colorado would be suckers IMO. Paranteau could easily increase his trade value playing with Kesler full time and be flipped for a good return or just kept.

That's probably the general mode amongst every GM in the league. This may shape up to be the lamest TDL in years. Can't wait to see how Duthie drags it out over a full day's worth of coverage.

It really doesn't make any sense to try and push for a playoffs spot, they may still get one though, our system is weak. They can't afford to keep going in the direction they've been going in the past few years, chasing a Cup.

I agree, I'll be shocked if Gillis makes even a single move in the next week.

It really doesn't make any sense to try and push for a playoffs spot, they may still get one though, our system is weak. They can't afford to keep going in the direction they've been going in the past few years, chasing a Cup.

I agree. I've said it since the start of the new Year that I don't expect a core guy moved until the draft. At the most I see a Hansen or Higgins traded. I pray it's not Tanev since he seems like the other possibility. Teams will have more cap space then, it's also easier to ask a core guy with a NTC to move during the off-season. The players might even be more willing if they fail to make the playoff or suffer yet another 1st round loss. These guys have to be hungry for a cup at this stage of their career.
