Problem I had was they were trending downhill.

FA had no doubt, if it doesn't work out it falls at the owners feet and he can blame Gillis.

One bad year doesn't make them terrible players IMO. Henrik had around 40 points at the 40 game mark, which is consistent with his career PPG pace, then he broke his finger and then he suffered a rib injury. poop happens!

As for Daniel, something definitely wrong with that kids head? Still, he's tied for the lead in points for the team and he's tied or within a point or two of players like Voracek, Simmonds, Pominvile, Saad, Skinner, Filppula, O'Reilly, Stastny, Ladd, J Schwartz and Backes.

Ya he's making some good coin but I won't panic until/unless he poops the bed again next season?

They are young and not eating 7 mil like Danny. Some of them hit and fight unlike Daniel.

So the NFL wants a 15 yd penalty for using the N word, yet they have a team named the Redskins.

Why would the Sedins take one year contracts??? They got that term because it's what they wanted and less than what they could have got if they wanted more.

For the record he's making 6.1 million not 7…next year is next year.

Yes I understand that, but some of them will be making good money SOON and some of them are currently making the same 6 million dollar salary as Daniel. Last year he had 40 points in 47 games, that's around a 75 point year, absolutely nothing wrong with that!

In a 70 million dollar cap world I have no issues with their salary unless they don't produce next year, Hank I'm not worried, Daniel maybe a little bit?

Edit: this year each of their cap numbers equate to ~ 9.5% of the cap, next year it'll be ~ 9.85%, so pretty negligible really.

I don't think there will be any trades in the NHL until after the weekend, teams need to see how they play after the long lay off, in the pool, I have no idea not being involved, but it sounds like a gong show, very ECHL.

Someone needs to post the pool standings so that those of us who aren't in the pool can make fun of those that are sucking, friendly jibes.

Sounds fair, seeing that you have endure us talking about it day in, day out. Most of the Managers are pretty self explanatory. A lot of the bottom teams have recently been taken over by new managers as the previous managers weren't setting the line up regularly.

1) SMP 335pts.
2)BlueChip 321pts.
3)ZoggsHogs 319pts.
4)Nucker Nation 300pts.

According to Capgeek our "Deadline" cap space is $3,958,496 - I wonder what he's gonna do with that?

I predict Gillis will make a total of zero trades addressing our lack of secondary scoring before the deadline, citing the high asking prices, lower cap, and unwillingness to move our youth as the reasons he couldn't get anything done. He will then repeat this same speech in the offseason, next TDL, next offseason, etc etc etc.

I'd say so. You've built your team for 5-6 years down the road. Going to be some lean years for you in the pool the next while.
