My pool is sad with injuries

Doesn't look like you have anything too serious or long term, unlike Fosco.

Yes, I agree about Callahan - I think his injury history seems to have gotten worse than Kesler's! Notwithstanding that component, though, I'd still take Kesler, especially given what you've noted - more versatility and more offense. I just thought it was interesting how much of a similar style they play and how close their stats are, including peripherals. Not to mention their ages and even physical stature.

as far as the trade aspect, it seems I may be either over or underthinking things in terms of the the proposals I've received (some of which have been extremely tempting uggg but of course you snooze you lose, I know, I know). That said, I'm reasonably confident with most of my roster - come on, Del Zotto is going to put me over the top for gawd sakes

As I mentioned to Bieksa3, there is just such tremendous chemistry on my squad I don't want to tamper with it , so I'm resorting to the 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' theory. Of course that usually falls under the 'delusional' category lol and could very well end up biting me in the ass, especially as I note there have been some very good moves by a lot of the managers of late (what the @#$@#$ is up with that, feckers?!)

Well, at least there is still a bit of a ways to go and I hope to be more active in the stretch run (psssst, how about Tavares (you know he's going to be out for at least 3 years for Martin Jones? - ok ok, no @#$#@ hate mail lol)

- Zogg

a few people have tried this tactic.

Can't argue against the "if it ain't broke..." theory.

My team has been struggling as of late, and I'm less confident now that Tavares is out, so I'm partially thinking of next year and partially just enjoying the wheeling and dealing.

I thought I'd have a few easy match ups, with consecutive weeks against absentee managers, but then I went and found those teams new managers...

If anything it shows that at least I'm not trying to find any unfair advantages...

Saw it.

Liked a couple pieces, but overall, it's not the type of deal I want for one of the players you asked for.

We're trying. A couple of guys humming hawing of deals are holding everything up. Every time I make an offer, the response I get is: "I'll let you once I hear back about this other offer I have pending."

What have you got left to deal? You're doing what gillis should be doing; (frank) the bus you're the sea captain of the Exxon TankNation and you've been drinking!

Lol I have some good young players like Horvat Drouin and NiƱo , 3 first round draft picks 2 seconds and 2 thirds now. As you know Sekeres has been a point producer and Goligoski will be reliable .

With the high end picks I will get the top end players. I think I sort of pulled a John Davidson.

One thing Fosco said the other day was how good did Edler look with Karlsson. Could Edler not look good like that with the Canucks with another High End Dman on the Canucks?

Sportsnet power rankings have Canucks at 22. As much this pisses of most of us fans I think it is accurate.

A smooth skating, puck moving D-man sure would help round that D-corps out. The sort of player Ehrhoff was, and Jeff Brown way back when.

I wouldn't be opposed to Goc, but he may be out of our price range given how weak the UFA crop is this year.

I think any third line center is going to be looking in the 3 mil range unless you want a scrub.

The money UFAs will get this year is going to be mind blowing. I wouldn't be surprised if the only ones we signed were just re-signings.

GMs could change that with collusion. Offer small all of them. Bolland wants 5 mil to be third line center. Just stupid.,

You could put Dana Murzyn with Karl and he would look good.

Maybe so but the point I was making is Edler looked like a star when he had the right partner. MG should be looking for his partner.

All the ntc and nmc that the core has really places Gillis' job in jeopardy.

He has nothing of interest to trade unless someone (I am looking at you Philly, takes on Luongo.
