Spezza is exactly what this team needs—another elite, skilled centre, who is great on the PP.

Could have him centre the 2nd line, and push Kesler to the wing.

His age and injury history aren't ideal, but it's not like he's too old, either.

I doubt you'd get Lazar alone for Edler—OTT are ridiculously high on him.

Not sure if he's "available," but I believe Murray basically said anybody but Lazar and Karlsson are in play for the right price.

Just threw OTT out as a possible trading partner because Edler and Karlsson seemed to play well together.

I don't watch Oshawa often, so I'm curious how much of his offense is because of his linemates, as I know he sees time with Dal Colle and PP time with Laughton, as well.

I don't think Spezza is actually is available. If we are trading Edler for offensive help, I would hope it would be for someone with a longer shelf life and doesn't sound like a total tosser in interviews.

A 30 year old center (almost 31) with a pretty brutal injury history is not what we need. If he was a free agent he'd be worth the risk, but not at what we'd have to give up in a trade as well.

Agreed. He's on the decline. He's never been great defensively or physical so now that he's lost a step it really hurts him.
