Spezza is exactly what this team needs—another elite, skilled centre, who is great on the PP.

Could have him centre the 2nd line, and push Kesler to the wing.

His age and injury history aren't ideal, but it's not like he's too old, either.

I doubt you'd get Lazar alone for Edler—OTT are ridiculously high on him.

Yeah, I think Garrison should be getting just as much of the blame, everyone seems fixated on Edler alone but Garrison has been underwhelming this season as well. Ideally, Garrison wouldn't have a NTC and would be moved, I'd prefer to keep Edler. But that's to happening. I'll be pissed if Tanev is moved, smart move is to lock him up long-term as part of the "re-tool".

Yeah, Garrison was more consistent last season. I think either he or Edler have to get traded either at the TDL or around the draft. I'd prefer it was Garrison too. Tanev should be sticking around, but that might depend on whether they can move one of the "top 4."

You're either grossly underrated Lazar/Zibanejad or overrating Edler in that proposal. I'd be pretty happy to get either of them in an Edler trade. Asking for both is not gonna happen. And as Fosco id, Lazar is like Horvat to them, not going anywhere. The Sens also use advanced stats pretty heavily so I doubt they'd do Zibanejad for Edler straight up either.

That's like saying he could have had every player that's available—doesn't factor in that asking prices are different from different teams, or that PHO might have preferred to deal him out of conference.

The Canucks looked pretty set at C at the time, as well.

At the time Turris was unproven and still went for Rundblad +, who was widely considered the best D prospect in the league, and the best D not playing in the NHL.

Now Turris is a legitimate top-6 producer.
