Eberle deal fall apart or did you not finalize it before KB took off?

Cool. I'm heading out. Was hoping I'd get something done, but I got outbid for Eberle and waiting to hear back on my other 2 deals.

Wanted trouba, but I as all your deals go anything involving a player not called Justin Williams includes Justin Williams as part of the package and I can't handle that kind of baggage. Peace.

Anybody think Ottawa would have any interest in targeting Edler to play with Karlsson?

I asked on Yost's board last night just to gauge what the fans thought, but didn't get many responses.

The one proposal was pretty underwhelming.

Edler was also paired with Ericsson for part of the game—maybe Sweden's coach was trying to showcase Edler to DET and OTT

Fair enough, didn't realize he had negative value for you, could have said so! Still think that I could have offered you better than what Alex did. Trouba was very difficult for me to move since Letang is out.

What you're forgeting to mention is the succession of poopting offers you made between the first offer you posted and the last offer I posted before I told you that you were dreaming in Technicolor.

Posting a private negotiation in a public forum like this definitely broadcasts a crystal clear message as to the calibre of negotiator you are.

I've been thinking the same as well. Philly, Detroit and Pitt all make sense to me(depending on Letang's long-term outlook). I've said all season that the Edler-Garrison pairing is making both guys look worse than they are(neither are top notch skaters and they don't work well together at all). Edler was solid in the Olympics for sure. If his value has truly taken a hit in the trade market Id rather not sell low, but at the same time if this coaching staff is going to keep forcing that pairing together then his value is gonna stay lower than it should be.

Pk'err is definitely not making many friends, he'll be reduced to trading with only 2 or 3 other guys once he pisses most of us off enough.

Garrison's advanced stats are surprisingly bad this year.

Edler, Bieksa, and Tanev's are all very close, which is strange—considering the grief Edler gets from fans, you'd expect his to be the worst of the bunch.

I think any move involving the D happens in the offseason.

Only one I could see moving at the TDL is Tanev, but I expect he stays.

I agree about the pairings—Edler should be on a pair with Tanev.

Yeah, I think Garrison should be getting just as much of the blame, everyone seems fixated on Edler alone but Garrison has been underwhelming this season as well. Ideally, Garrison wouldn't have a NTC and would be moved, I'd prefer to keep Edler. But that's to happening. I'll be pissed if Tanev is moved, smart move is to lock him up long-term as part of the "re-tool".

I'd think Edler would have way more trade value than Garrison. I like the thought of trading Edler to Ottawa, but what do they really have that we would want in return?

Turris, Spezza, Zibanejad?

Obviously there would have to be more involved, but I'm pretty sure Murray said everyone but Lazar is available for the right price.

Not to keen on Spezza, not what our team needs and is too expensive.

I'd be asking for Zibanejad, Lazar, and Neil if I were MG.
