Bet you loved the Handzus trade last year. Can't wait to see the Avs win the cup this year either, stacked team. Definitely better than the Hawks. Rebuild year for the Hawks, they're just lucky being the best possession team in the league. - rollpards19
Funny. them being the best possession team doesn't have them at the top of the league. But then you would need to understand hockey, not stats.
Thinking Regin will find lightning in a bottle is akin to believing in fairy tales. Regin doesn't have a bottle.
If you can see the difference between a player like Handzus and Regin, stick to stats. You are beyond hope. |

Honestly, nobody played well. But all he did was skate in circles, stickhandling, and then give up the puck. He was not good. He skated around a lot with the puck along the outside and didn't do anything with them. Oh well.
If you want to say he was the best US player in two games when they did absolutely nothing, ok. - carcus
Jeez - we're neurotic enough around here - don't need outsiders from 300 miles southwest coming here and accentuating it. |

He is a Blues fan Saint. What does he know about winning hockey? |

So I can assume the team that wins the President's trophy will win the cup? How are the Avs better than the Hawks, they're behind them in the standings? |

I wouldn't just poop on the idea of Regin just after one game. There might be something there. I don't see him as a solution to the #2C problem, but he could be just fine sharing playing time with Handzus. |

Yawn. Whatever. The whole team sucked. One guy can't do it all. The roster was terribly flawed from the start and the coaching staff was mediocre.
Maybe in 2018 they choose scoring and 2-way players on the roster over "leadership" and "grit", and get a decent coach..

It's all YOUR fault, Eli - if YOU could do a better job of developing top-6 talent - especially centers - we wouldn't be having all of this angst. |

Maybe - probably - hopefully - in 2018 - they're choosing from college and junior players. |

To be accurate, I was poopting on him before 1 game. He sucks.
The problem is he will be playing 2C. (frank)ing Pirri is better than he is. |

Enough with the ad hominems. You said the Hawks will be lucky to get out of the first round, no shot at repeating, the Avs are better, but the Hawks possession stats don't count because they aren't first in the standings. You also said GMs and coaches are wrong frequently, then used Sakic picking MacKinnon as evidence he's better than Toews, while also mentioning Tallon would have done the same. So which is it, do the standings matter or not? Are coaches and GMs smart or not? Pick a side. |

That's ok, when people know they're wrong they avoid answering questions. Enjoy watching Islander and Finnish Elite League games |

To be fair to Elbows, he was sh*tting on the idea of Regin as soon as the trade was announced, if not before that in private. |
