Martin is a difference-maker. You'll need to add a core player to get him.

Speaking of Leddy, Savvy has been missing. Perhaps this discussion will draw him back...

Hi Boyz,
What's shaking? Now that the Ogi-lympics are over, that is!

I was wondering how long it would take for the conversation to come back around to my boy Nick. See we've traded him a few times too. All good.

22 games left. No time to experiment. No Nick and Hjalm as I have seen postulated. Likely to be Leddy and Rozy for 2/3 of those.

ForgOTT about that guy ....

Seriously , would anyone cry of Ledd and a 2nd round pick went for Gagne (and the Oil retain 50%) ?? #s would work they would get a D that could grow with their team , we would have a legitimate top 6 and they get a pick because of the risk of Leddy peaking early ?

Savvy, you certainly know how to make an appearance!! No experiments on the back lines I don't think. But some on the forward lines, I think. Some are very interested in seeing how Regin does at 2C (especially Elbows, he's a big fan)....

Savvy might shed a tear. I'm inclined to keep Leddy and see what he becomes. And I'm not interested in Gagne, despite his getting 47 goals against the Hawks in one game...

I think they also save the more physical stuff for the playoffs (not that they're the 1970's Flyers even then). At the risk of jinxing them, they do have a pretty good health record, and saving it for the games that really count is fine by me. They were not pussies in the playoffs last year.

Was actually thinking we could all kick in a few dineros on a Regin and PMB jersey for Nester. I'm sure he'd wear 'em proudly.

Sort of numb, though, from the Olympics and the weather (like y'all). Ready to get back to Hawks hockey, hoping that Kane's medal-less performance (and getting blanked) doesn't carry over to the finish of this season.

This is no time for laying down on the job. Thinking Q is going to be pushing those bozo-puter buttons like mad the 1st few back -- unless, of course, the boys step out and crush teams from beginning to end. OK, so that's a dream. Bet we'll see all sorts of combos during the 1st 4-6 games back, including on D.

Will Q try to mind-phuck his goalies leading up to the playoffs? Or is C2 the guy for sure? Will he try to push C2 by giving Raanta every other start until maybe the last 10 or 12 games to see who gets on a roll? C'mon these are things I want to know.

I know, I know... Rookie mistake. Might as well just predict a shutout in the first game, eh?

Time for him to crap or get off the pot. If he is going to play bottom pairing and just get pushed off the puck, trade him now for a ransom IMO

If he were 25 I'd agree. He's 22.

You'll have to wait until the story unfolds! I have always liked how Q mixes, matches and experiments. I think it allows him to make more educated decisions in the post-season, and allows the players to know each other well if a change is made. I know you want the consistency of Leddy playing with one guy only. I think there's something to that, but I also think playing with several guys could help develop some abilities, too, especially his mind. On this, it is more likely you're right than me...

Make it their 1st and sign me up.

Edit: Actually think Morin would fit very well on the Oilers. All offense and no D.
