Good lord. We really need to blow up the south and Wal-Marts. (frank) it. The Plains State too. - Elbows15
Might as well take out the southwest, too - except for Austin (good music). |

Seems to be projecting light winds - less than 10 MPH. |

I'm thinking we're going to see a lot of empty seats at the Soldier Field. |

It mostly Hispanic anyway and retirees. We will just give it back. Illegal immigration problem solved for the US. Time will take care of it for the Mexican government. |

I'm sirry that you seem to find Those posts to be contradictory; they're not. The second post is not necessarily my line of thinking, but the practical reality of what ownership and management does when their teams lose. The owners not going to fire himself, nor is he going to fire the entire team. Again, it was not Quenneville's fault that they lost the two seasons in between the cups. nor did they win the 2 cups they won because of him. all of course my opinion, but I am entitled to my opinion as much as anyone else here is. (except for fivenses opinion of Crawford). - Q...argh
which is widely accepted as the correct opinion of crawford |

Leafs blogger noting that bob mckenzie says bolland looking for a long term (5+year) deal in the neighborhood of 4.5 to 5+ mil per
If this is the case, stan really did the perfect timing move with bolland, despite many people hating to see him go
We got a second cup thanks to him, but if we held on to him longer, we risk him getting injured again qnd being unable to move him. We also possibly get less of a return than the high draft picks in a very strong draft. In the end, if we hung on to bolland, we either risk losing him for nothing, and likely in this case if those were his demands, because bowman and co wouldn't do it. Or, we only get bolland for half a season and have to move him anyway if bowman knows he won't be able to sign him and they try to get something for him, in which case we are pretty much where we are at right now anyway |

You really hate to see guys like Bolland go. He'll get his $4.5-$5 and that's good for him. But based on that salary there's just no place for him on this team. While Shaw and Kruger may not be the agitator Bolland was they've filled in nicely as 3rd and 4th line centers. Not to mention re-acquiring Versteeg and the emergence if Smith which help round out the bottom 6 nicely.
I hope Bolly gets his money and goes on to have a long career. He was an excellent Blackhawk and has left us with many great memories.
Note: I realize Bolland wasn't perfect and there were issues, but there's no point in dwelling on that.

He came to play in the playoffs. He was one of those players that for whatever reason seemed rise to the occasion in the playoffs. |

Meh. I would be on the other side of the plane anyway. All I ever see is farmland. Like I never see that traveling around the Midwest. |

I was playing around on capgeek.com looking at our cap situation next season. It will be close but Stan should be able to come in under the cap with jettisoning any major parts.
But one contract stands out as very tradable...Rozsival. In the 2nd year of his deal he moves from a NMC to a modified NTC (not sure of the conditions). Plus, while his cap hit is $2.2 million his actual salary is only $1.75 million. That may not seem like a lot but almost $500K could go a long way for some of the more cash strapped teams. Maybe Rozy gets dealt this summer along with one of the B grade prospects has an enticement.
I like Rozsival and everything he's done for the team, but $2.2 million is a lot for a part time defenseman. |

Probably the best Blackhawks goal scorer reaction I've seen, even better than Kaner's in 2010. |
