Correct on Seinfeld - situation comedy is a very personal situation.

All of those shows had moments - even a couple of seasons - but eventually outlived their funniness. After a year or two got tired of Archie's histrionics and Meatheads liberal stereotype.

The great ones (to me) were funny throughout, with characters who enjoyed being with each other. That's a key to me - very little insult humor, say funny things - not outrageous things.

I would say you could say that about nearly every show; even the ones you and I mentioned. It's rare when a show is able to sustain it throughout. Seinfeld though we differ was great and when Larry David left it definitely lost much of it's edge. Cheers is another one I loved but toward the end it was not as funny; maybe an episode here or there. Even Modern Family. I love that show but there are some nights it is a home run and others it's just not as good, like they are trying too hard.

Like you said it's personal; taste and preference.

Like I said Ogi, different strokes for different folks. I get you don't like it. I do and in my mind as far as sitcoms go, take your pick of just about nearly everything else out there. There's much worse.

I'm of a mind that if you watch say another ten episodes you will come around on Big Bang like you have on Patrick Sharp. If nothing else Kaley Cuoco is nice to look at and at least we agree on Modern Family.

(A) Daphne wasn't that hot - mildly attractive, yes.

(b). I certainly agree about the fat guys with hot chicks. EDIT TO ADD THE OBVIOUS: we need some shows where the fat chick gets the hot guy (Mike and Molly doesn't do it).

I've always liked Woody Allen - he's seeming more and more creepy (and maybe jail-worthy - MAYBE) recently - but my wife never understood how he would wind up with the hot girl in his movies.
