The beauty of his movies was so much was right out front but there is way more depth than you realize at first. - Elbows15
History of the World is a great example. |

For my money probably the funniest person ever. - rollpards19
Think of him (Brooks), Carl Reiner, Larry Gelbart, Neil Simon, Mel Tolken all writing for one show - Your Show of Shows, starring Sid Caesar, Imogene Coca, Howard Morris, Reiner.... |

Yeah I will watch those sometime. my parents were the biggest don rickles and Buddy hackett fans. They went to all their shows. Don rickles called my dad a hockey puck at least 10 times - tomcat24
My kid had to watch a lot of those old roast, the Carol Burnett show and other shows from that era for a class at school. She loved it. |

I could imagine. I was never a huge late-night talk show fan. No doubt carson was the best, though. I always liked bob Newhart. He was good on Carson, when I would see it. Newhart and don rickles was always a weird but great friendship - tomcat24
Buddy Hackett was great on Carson - he was always on the edge of getting the censor button involved.
There was a movie several years ago - The Aristocrats - about the dirtiest joke in the world - I wish Hackett had been alive to be in it. |

Carol burnett was a great show. Tim conway had to be up there, too. My favorite parts were always him trying to get Harvey korman to laugh. I always liked it when the actors would break character and laugh. Like on SNL, too. There was the infamous debbie downer sketch from a few years ago. |

No whispers here so far....Just trying to connect the dots.
I don't see the sense in #1 and #2...So #3 makes the most sense to me. Issue is from what I saw of Peckham and others in Rockford-Bowman could be looking at adding a dman right back.
I can't see who Morin is going to replace at this point....And Pirri would be the highest value feasible trade chip they have right now.
Just to toss Kostka away at this point is a head scratcher...As little as people think of him...There isn't anyone Q will trust more in Rockford.
Granted....This is all a moot point if injuries don't hit soon...But can't see much time for experiments in the final 22 games.
Toews & Canada capture Gold. Kane-Team USA vet leaders?? -Kostka on waivers, trade deadline thoughts: My Fox Chicago:

Got fried was hilarious - he was making Hefner uncomfortable.
The most surprising was Bob Sacket - unbelievable out there.
See the movie - well worth it. |

So much of that show was improv. They would have the outline then it was all comedic timing and genius. |

Yeah I thought Bob was in it. He really is very funny. Most people think of him from those unfunny family shows like full house or his lame stuff on america's funniest videos. But his stand-up stuff is very funny and very dirty. |

I just saw some clips of that when Mel Brooks was on Conan talking about Sid Caesar, dying laughing. I don't know if you know it but the German General was one of the funniest things I've ever seen |
