Considering the fact that today has really been the first day in two weeks that i have posted I bow to your paranoia.

Its not paranoia it is a campaign to counter ignorance. Big difference...

I absolutely enjoyed it. It's Mel Brooks, how can anyone not enjoy it?
- EKolb13

Yeah all Mel Brooks things are great. One of the cable channels shows the musical version of the producers. That was great, too

Thanks. I kept thinking Mark Langston but it didn't sound right.
- Elbows15

There's a name with a nice back-story. Yeah he had a good career, but it's his movement over his career that really provides the intrigue. The Mariners have continued to benefit from trading Langston through trickle-down trades and assets for more than two decades IIRC.

I said the best Blackhawk player ever. He wasn't, just as Hasek wasn't. As I said the best Blackhawk goalie in the last 20 years was Belfour.

Ah. I get it then. All others are ignorant unless they subscribe to to your views. I guess that clears it up. I will stick to mine and wait until it all shakes out.

Not sure if you're old enough to remember when he would be on the Carson show, but those were hilarious.

Pepto???
- Q...argh

Could this be a life stinks reference? Not the most well-known but still had some great moments. He was one of the best. His work with Carl reiner was great. All the airplane and naked gun writers are up there, too. Zucker and abrahams

It's sort of like someone who continues to shout louder thinking that will make people pay attention not realizing that their continuing on is tuning most out.

Mel has taken a lot of chances on material and topics that others would not touch.

My favorite is when someone adopts an accent in what they perceive to be the native tongue of whom they are speaking to. I want to slap them and tell them to STOP.

I could imagine. I was never a huge late-night talk show fan. No doubt carson was the best, though. I always liked bob Newhart. He was good on Carson, when I would see it. Newhart and don rickles was always a weird but great friendship

Watch some of the Dean Martin Roasts on You Tube. Don Rickles, Jonathan Winters, Foster Brooks, et al. were hilarious.

Aint that the truth. It is amazing he got away with it. Shows how important great writing is. Larry David is the same way. Especially on curb your Enthusiasm. Although mel Brooks is more well-liked

I do have a wife. Sometimes I have to attend things other than hockey games. Luckily, it was a musical version of Mel Brooks's film. There are a lot worse things out there that she could have chosen to do.

It could be three things, imo. One is that they no longer think as highly of him and decided to let him go. Two is that they planned for one of the kids to step up (Pirri or Morin), but they didn't and now they can't afford the insurance. A combination of the two is quite likely, I think. And the third is that they need the cap space for a trade, which is necessary because of number two (not that number two, Elbows ).

You mentioned a trade earlier and in your article. Is that your educated opinion or have you heard the rumblings that something is up? Just curious - a trade is a very logical assumption, I believe.

No whispers here so far....Just trying to connect the dots.

I don't see the sense in #1 and #2...So #3 makes the most sense to me. Issue is from what I saw of Peckham and others in Rockford-Bowman could be looking at adding a dman right back.

I can't see who Morin is going to replace at this point....And Pirri would be the highest value feasible trade chip they have right now.

Just to toss Kostka away at this point is a head scratcher...As little as people think of him...There isn't anyone Q will trust more in Rockford.

Granted....This is all a moot point if injuries don't hit soon...But can't see much time for experiments in the final 22 games.

Toews & Canada capture Gold. Kane-Team USA vet leaders?? -Kostka on waivers, trade deadline thoughts: My Fox Chicago:

Yeah I will watch those sometime. my parents were the biggest don rickles and Buddy hackett fans. They went to all their shows. Don rickles called my dad a hockey puck at least 10 times

The beauty of his movies was so much was right out front but there is way more depth than you realize at first.
