Come on Silly....you know the answer....
Everyone has not hit their switches yet!
In all seriousness for a second, if all players hit switches, or dial it up a bit, come playoffs, then doesnt that mutually cancel out. I mean that last question respectfully and not as a smart ass.
I view this scenario differently, that is some players are wired or better in dealing with pressure than others. As such, it is not so much that certain guys dial it up, but it is more that some guys just wilt a bit under pressure.
The Hawks are blessed to have guys who do not wilt under pressure and who rise to the occasion. - TrueGrit
That's fair. Its just different ways of looking at I guess. That was your best explanation of it. In reality its probably a little of both. I just think, IDK if you watched, but look at the game Toews played today, if he played like that every game he'd be the best player in the world, but he just doesn't have the energy or intensity to do it 82 games a year, neither does anyone, except maybe Crosby. I think guys just find a more consistent level of effort, they don't let it dip, and especially players who have done it, like this Hawks core, is more prone to those little lapses in concentration and effort, because they know they have it, and they don't have to find it, like they did in 09. |

So long as it is worth your time. I will pay a bonus if you can introduce some new thoughts and topics at the shop there. - TrueGrit
The new thoughts are being discussed here all the time. There are others who seem constantly intent on re-hashing the old. I'm hoping like others that the FO will do it's best to address the needs of the team. I believe they will and will comment on them if and when they happen. I do not subscribe to the narcissistic attitude that some here have regarding certain players. It's time to move on from them. |

The movie? Yes. And it is. Its more along the lines that in many ways the movie itself was a theatrical performance. |

I do have a wife. Sometimes I have to attend things other than hockey games. Luckily, it was a musical version of Mel Brooks's film. There are a lot worse things out there that she could have chosen to do. |

If this board was around back in the day, Eddie would have been ripped to threads in here. He struggled A LOT in the playoffs with softies. |

Maybe so but Belfour is the best goalie the Blackhawks have had in the last 20 years. |
