At the same time though, it can be argued that it is somewhat necessary for the States. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. - Jeropotato

I was talking about Dinosaurs at work and I asked the question (because I wasn't sure) how long the Earth has been in existence. The Bible Thumper said "3000" years. My natural reaction was to laugh and call her an idiot except I'm in Management so I just said "oh yeah?" and walked away. - Jeropotato
Here's my viewpoint.
It's just as believable or unbelievable that god/God created everything versus the big bang happening.
Both are very unlikely but plausible.
I don't mean to turn this into a religious convo, but personally, I don't know how anyone can be an atheist. There may be a God we don't know about, there may not be.
The point being, none of us know. So how can atheists know there is no God? |

Mexican chicks get fat around the age of 25-30, usually after the first kid.

See most of my friends are religious so I leave them to what they believe as long as they're not harming others. Plus they don't care that I don't practice and I appreciate that.
The funny thing is that they have internal conflicts and they're not completely secure with their faith. With many people who get into religion or out of it, it comes from a spiritual crisis of sorts. With me I'm just so (frank)ing apathetic that it doesn't matter. I'm not going to feel nauseous over the realization that there's no creator. - nayefj
Yeah it is like that around here, but most people are quiet and believe what they believe and don't push it. It is the few that say stupid poop like that, that irritates me, she asked me to disprove for her that her god exists so I was forced to tell her if I did that, then she has to disprove that my god Pikkiwoki, the Papua New Guinean mud god did not exist. He promises me a goat and all the coconuts I can carry when I die, so essentially if her god exists, then so should mine right? |

We have 1 in 10 more fat people than you.

I'm not a believer, but I can't honestly say either way. I do find it shocking that people won't accept the facts that prove things like fossils are millions of years old. Then again, the Jury is still out on science.

It's mostly a matter of conviction: belief or disbelief. Others try to look for proof of the existence or non-existence of a creator, but it won't matter much because in the end it's a matter of feeling/belief or lack thereof. |

Obviously I meant for the Summer Olympics, the winter Olympic success is the large population. Any large populated country that gets snow and has funding should be able to fall ass backward into some medals. |

I hear you. I think the problem is people NEED TO FEEL they believe in something, when he fact of the matter is, most things aren't black or white.
But I guess that's why I'm an agnostic Independent. I come from a different viewpoint. |
