Someone needs to email the link to Snow. If he reads it maybe he'll pull her credentials.

Yeah, I read that- I was going to respond to her, but I figured I'd be suspended. She's a f***ing genius, that one. This is why I don't buy anything that comes out of the media, because people like her have press credentials.

Those two players aren't hockey players

That's one part of it. The other thing is that Rose really f***ed up his leg, worse than I've ever seen anyone do in sport. As for Griffin, he's just a legend in his own mind- all he amounts to is Michael Vick with dreadlocks. It's not that he didn't come back healthy- it's that he isn't really all that good. Recovering from a blown out knee doesn't make you airmail a pass to a wide open receiver when no one is around you. John Tavares is an elite player, and a workout beast- I'll say eight months, he'll be good as new, and three weeks on the ice and he'll forget about it.

The problem is that in that time frame, we'll be stuck with this crappy coach, and if someone doesn't make them finally stick to a strict defensive game plan, they'll get blown out worse than Tavares' knee on a nightly basis. Now is the time- there's no good reason to be offensively aggressive when half of your offense is sitting in the seats. I'm just afraid that they're going to keep doing the same stupid sh*t, and they're going to use the Tavares excuse every time someone asks why a five year coach who at that point will be like 50 games under .500 for his career is still standing behind the bench. That's most of my issue here. Losing games this year can only help from a draft/trade perspective. THIS team wasn't making the playoffs.

That said, I don't want to throw next season out the window as well, if Tavares comes back on 12/1, and they're already 4-22-4. I think it's time for the fans to let the ownership know we're not happy with these morons- we've done it before, on more than one occasion. I've been inside the Nassau County building in Mineola at least twice that I can remember. It's time to force them to move this forward- even if we just have to stay home to do it.

Good...at least we won't be 0-18 by the time he comes back next year. This year is a wash, anyway. Now move some of these people out, Garth, and get something useful in return. If he can turn all of the movable assets into one goalie who will be here for a while, I'll be happy.

Its all good... I hate he is hurt but.. lets be honest.. it was a lost season already. Get the players/prospects that management is planning on building this team around on the ice for the remainder of the season & see what we got.

Trade off the assets in Vanek, Amac, Nabby.. see if there is a market for Visnovsky who is signed for another season. Start planning for Oct.. now.

That's asking a lot from an incompetent GM.

From an article about the Austrian team partying the night before the Slovenia game:

Viveiros (the Austrian coach) is especially disappointed by Thomas Vanek who he made team captain. According to ÖEHV (Austrian Ice Hockey Federation) president Dieter Kalt: "He also chose Vanek as team captain to have an experienced player and this obviously went wrong". The star forward of the New York Islanders and his NHL colleagues Michael Grabner and Michael Raffl apologized in a letter for their behaviour.
