Rather have Ekblad, you can never have enough good to ELITE defenseman on team.
Heard there's no really great F in this draft that has that ELITE status, so I'd rather get the best Dman and continue to stockpile the system.

At least Vanek didn't get hurt... he will be traded when he gets home.

With Amac, Vanek traded along with the Tavares, and Neilsen injuries... we should drop into the top 3.

Would be nice to get the top spot with the lottery.

sucks isles fans and any fan of the sport of hockey in general. one of the best and most exciting players in the game to watch.

Fing pissed. Was hoping he would attack the 100-point barrier this year. With Nielsen out, somebody better step up and show some leadership on C position and on PP. Our PP just went from bad to dead last. Wonder what this does with KOs production.

You know why I'm pissed- now we're stuck with a built in bullsh*t excuse to keep coach sh*twad for another year, which means if JT comes back in November and we're already 3-20, that's two years worth of excuse. All we can hope now is that at least they will play a full blown 60 minute trap from now on, and our young players will learn how to play defense.

Pretty sad if they use the JT injury as an excuse. Isles playing the trap would be beyond shocking. I heard at pratice that Cappy was trying to get the goalie to "activate".

That's a good point...they'll milk this injury for all it's worth for sure. They'll probably try to convince people that they were still in the hunt up until Tavares got injured at the Olympics.
