I could see the Oilers throwing this years 1st round pick to Anaheim for Hiller and the Ducks flipping the same first round pick to Buffalo for Miller. - NewfieStud
Put down the crack pipe. As noted earlier, Murray came out a month or so ago and stated that Hiller isn't going anywhere. BUT, if he was, it would take a heck of a lot more than a 1st. JMHO |

they're still pushing hard for s.weber
*fingers and legs crossed* - Flyfreaky
The speculation on Weber being traded is pure fantasy.
The Flyers pushed a front end loaded deal to Weber as a RFA. Nashville matched the offer. This meant they had to match all the up front cash. So, most of the heavy hitting on salary has been done. And, the actual dollars needed to be paid out in future years are way below the actual cap hit.
The Flyers have already destroyed any financial leverage they might have had. The only way Nashville does a deal in the future is if their great kids on D develop and another team offers up a top offensive talent. I would for example do a deal for Weber if Nathan MacKinnon came back from the other side. |

Give me one good reason the Penguins would be interested in Daley. Any reason just give me one. They have numerous quality D men. Why would they trade for another one Ek makes no sense sometimes What am I say Ek makes no sense all of the time I think he really thinks someone would hire him as a GM Right - holeinone

i wouldn't trade him if i were nashville, but he's eating up a load of their cap and they're a small market team
the article said that a deal wouldn't happen until this summer
if ever |

Why on earth would Anaheim trade Hiller and then trade for Miller? They are solid in goal. No need to make a change and if I'm not mistaken, the Ducks have already publicly stated that they are NOT going to deal Hiller |

Already happened but no call up can replace Letang. Letang's health is a major concern and sure he may be back in 6 weeks but there is no guarantee. I'm just giving a reason why Pens would be interested in daley. I personally don't believe Dallas will trade him while in position of a playoff spot |

Rumour is that Hiller will walk at the end of the season. If they can grab Miller a guy who wants to be in California because his wife lives there, good chance he will sign for the rest of his career |

If Miller wants to be in Cali with his wife, he will sign there in the offseason...no reason to give up MULTIPLE assets to acquire him.
Plus, is Miller that much of an upgrade over Hiller this season? Especially considering the assets you would have to give up to get Miller? |

They're never going to spend to the cap anyway so that's a non-issue. Big cap hits with lower actual salaries are exactly what small market teams want. |
